MAY 2008 SPIRAL CHORD

Formed in 2003 by Gendo(VOCAL & GUITAR/ex-COWPERS) and Hera(DRUMS/200 MPH,

ex-BEYONDS, ex-NAILS OF HAWAIIAN). The original Bass player left the band at

the early stage, so Kentaro(ex-NUMBER GIRL) was recruited in 2004. And this

trio stays together to this day.



The ultimate driving rhythm section pushes Gendo's ferocious guitar sound

woven from dissonance chords and his well arranged pedal works. And with

Gendo's shredding voice and as well distorted lyrics, which isn't afraid to

reflect human nature's fate or fanatical ego, you get this fierce Japanese

Punk slab called SPIRAL CHORD.



These 3 guys, started from Punk and devoted themselves deeply into the

immense 90's Indies/Grunge/Emo/Post Core evolution through their former

bands, have returned to their Punk roots with all sounds, melodies and

pulses.



If you like THE DAMNED, DRIVE LIKE JEHU/HOT SNAKES, or great Japanese acts

like STALIN, FRICTION, INU, you can't go wrong!



2003年初頭　元COWPERSのゲンドウと200MPHのHERAが中心となり結成。ROCKET FROM THE CRYPTトリビュート・アルバムV.A.「A CASE OF RFTC JUNKIES」に「KILLY KILL」のカヴァーで参加。デモ音源の録音を経て本格始動。



2004年1月、中尾憲太郎(元NUMBER GIRL)を新ベーシストに迎え同年の年末にはアルバムを制作。

2005年4月、1stアルバム「脳内フリクション」をリリース。5月、THE DAMNEDトリビュート・アルバムV.A.『THE CURSE OF THE DAMNED』にSPIRAL CHORD with Seiki (from NAHT)で「STAB YOUR BACK」をカヴァー。5月、東名阪「脳内フリクション爆裂TOUR」



2006年3月、「distance to substance tour (with NAHT)」東京〜静岡〜名古屋〜東京〜神戸〜大阪をツアー。8月1日には前年5月21日の下北沢SHELTER公演を全曲収録した初の単独DVD作品「脳爆旅団 -BRAINBURST BRIGADE-」をリリース。上記ライブに加え「NEW TRUTH」のPVや他会場でのライブ、ツアー中のオフショットを収録。9月から10月にかけて下北沢SHELTERの15周年記念イベント「SHELTER TOURS」に参加。その際に意気投合した54-71との縁が新レーベルCONTRAREDEへ。



2007年2月、NAHTとの共同企画「BEAT CITY!」を開催。4月から5月にかけて「distance to substance tour 2007」として関東、北海道をツアー。10月から11月にかけてレコーディング。



2008年3月、新レーベルCONTRAREDEの第１弾リリースとしてミニ・アルバム「サ・ヨ・ナ・ラ・セ・カ・イ」をリリース。
