Born August 25th, 1985, Jamie Anderson, better known by his street moniker Zero, or Z, or his hip-hop monker Zerodarapper, was born in Clarksburg, WV. Since his childhood years he moved from city to city with his mother and older sister. The mainstay of his childhood years were spent in Marshall County, WV, living on Rine's Ridge off of Fish Creek & the Ohio River. However his adolescent years were spent in Moundsville, WV, a middle-sized town in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia. Since his younger years he had been into hip-hop, listening to rappers like Bone Thugs -N- Harmony, Dr. Dre, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Daz Dillinger, Tupac Shakur, Wu-Tang, and many others. He would freestyle rap against his friends who would urge him to enter competitions and to record songs. He took their advice and started "Civilized Productions" with childhood friend and partner in rhyme, Bad Ceed, also from the Marshall County/Moundsville vicinity. Civilized Productions ran an ill-fated course and went under in late 2006 after 8 years of functioning as a local small town hip-hop label. KeepDaChange Records was established in January of 2007. With Bad Ceed M.I.A. from the rap and hip-hop scene, Z searched for West Virginia based artists as prospects for this new label, and he called the search off when he was approached by Scott Kerns of Morgantown, WV via Bossier City, Louisiana. Zero & Sez made the label take off and at the climax of the labels success in 2008, Bad Ceed reunited with business associate and long time friend, Zero. With the revolving door of artists and producers with KeepDaChange Records, such as Phatt Matt, Blur-E-Vision, DJ Coutz, Mack Menace, Red, Dr. Epidemik, and others, came a negative "We'll take anybody" reputation. A few of the former KeepDaChange Records artists went on to accomplish better things, such as DJ Coutz working with Soundvizion Recordings, Mack Menace signing to Purgatory Productions and re-uniting with White Mic of Hollaboy Records to form the "Click Clack Boys", and Dr. Epidemik signing as a producer for Carcass Records, a horrorcore hip-hop label out of Scranton, Pennsylvania. Zero & Sez decided it was time to "trim off the fat" and they drastically reduced the roster of artists to the Fatal Four of Zerodarapper, Sez, Bad Ceed, & Digatone. In late 2009 Zero disappeared from the public aspect of the local rap & hip-hop scene, making occasional bar & club appearances for good friend Bryan Tinnel, the owner of Uryan's Sounds. Tinnel promoted, and played, and still does play Z's songs in with his regular rotation when he DJ's @ venues in the Northern Panhandle/Ohio Valley. In the 1st quarter of 2010, Zero realized his ship, KeepDaChange Records, had sank, with the absence of Bad Ceed, Sez, & Digatone, he realized it was time to concentrate on his music and promoting strictly his projects. His Final KeepDaChange Records Release was the 3rd & final Installment of his mixtape series "Z's High Ride Mix Volume 3 [Boondocks Edition]". He is now talkin with 2 prominent West Virginia based labels discussing the business & musical end of things, and soon he will announce what label he has went with. Zero said, "Since I've matured not just musically, but in life in general, i see that I need to concentrate on me, not on running a label. Now all thats expected from me is finishing beats and songs that I choose to work on. No obligations and no one depending on me. This is beneficial to me because now I am puttin 110% of me into my music, and as many people have told me, they can tell, and my music has GREATLY improved."
