SPANK is a hard rock quartet based in North Carolina. The band is comprised of guitarist / vocalists Brian Boles and David Barker, bassist / vocalist Jody Blevins and drummer / vocalist Ben Barker. They are talented and experienced performers and songwriters who are focused on delivering high quality music and entertainment.



SPANK live shows are high energy, sweaty, in-your-face, entertaining showcases for the music. The band strives to continue the tradition of the sonic extravaganzas that they experienced watching their own heroes perform. Audiences are routinely treated to the adrenaline rush of dynamics, volume and motion and the lush multi-part vocal harmonies that have always been SPANK's calling card.



SPANK original songwriting is a painstaking but rewarding process. No matter which member presents material, all four contribute to crafting the final product. Whether changing one note or rebuilding a song entirely, the goal is to present the music in its best possible form.



After a self titled, limited edition six track EP released in April of 2005, SPANK's first full length album "The Monkey" (which also includes the six tracks from the debut EP) was released in May of 2006. Produced by Mitch Easter, standout tracks are "Abandon", "Reach" & "If I Could Find A Way".



With an official release date of 1/1/2008, Spank's 10 track album "Get Bent" started off '08 with a bang! Once again produced by Mitch Easter, "Get Bent" standout tracks include "Gravity", "Back To Me", "Breathing", "Step Out Of Line" and more.



A special 5 track EP called "Within' Without" was released in August of 2008. The title track was produced by legendary producers Mitch Easter (REM, Let's Active) & Beau Hill (Ratt, Warrant, Alice Cooper, Winger).
