1996

The band was organized by HATA(Vocal),KABA(Guitar),YASHI(Bass).

Later, KEI(Drums) joined with the band, and They named "SPANAM".



1998

1st album "SPANAM" released from the label "Alcohol Records" of "BANDAI MUSIC" (also vinyl album released) This album sold 10,000 copies of first press.

Next year, they started the tour with Japanese major bands.

They contributed one song for the compilation album "SOY MILK (nuts Records)".



2000

2nd album "normalvariation (Alcohol Records)" released (also vinyl album released)

In this year, SPANAM played with MADBALL(USA), Millencolin(Sweden), and other foreign bands as a represent of Japanese loud rock scene.

SPANAM had live and tour over 40 times in 2 years from 2000.



2001

Joined "V.A. DEATH ROCK MOVEMENT 2001" Tour.

Joined the NUKEY PIKES Tributed album [Chiba Notorious] (Less Than TV、 ZK).



2002

3rd album "Symmetry" was released from HOWLING BULL Entertainment.

Reissued 2nd album [normalvariation].

Supported Japan tour of Slitheryn(USA) in December.



2003

Drums KEI withdrawed after the live of June.

GEN(ex.GOOFY'S HOLIDAY) joined.



2004

Joined "AMERICAN APATHY TOUR 2004" (NY、Detroit、Pennsylvania、Philladelphia、etc.) with DOPE/MUSHROOM HEAD/MOTOR GRATER/TWISTED METHOD on November.

US Tour with Slitheryn.

Yashi withdrawed on December.



2005

Basist "Akiteru Eatman Ito" (ex. SPACE COMBINE / Taiyo-UZUHI) who lived in NY joined.

Started new "SPANAM" after Eatman came back to Japan.

Rebirth tour started from October.

Played with DOPE(USA) at Shinsaibashi Drop.

Finished the last live of rebirth tour at Kouenji 20000V with PULLING TEETH.



2006

After a lot of live, they started to make new songs.

They had the release party of new album at Shibuya Club QUATTRO.

SPANAM played their only style in the full of sound, light, and shadow.

4th album "ReBIRTH" released on August 23.

Started Japan Tour titled "ReBIRTH TOUR" from NAGOYA in October.

Soon after the tour, started making full album.



2007

Started "LIVE TOUR 007 FORWARD". They started the tour at Mito Light House, and toured from Hokkaido to Okinawa.

They had the first project with Starboard, called "Sights" at ShimoKitazawa ERA.

The project succeeded behind music category with their sound and passion.

Full album "forWord" released on Novenber 21.

With the theme of the previous album "ReBIRTH", this album has strong message and attitude. (Wrench's basist "Matsuda Tomohiro" designed the cover artwork.)

They played at 68 places in the tour, and end off the tour in Shibuya CYCLONE.



2008

Played in the most largest Loud festival "GQC galaxy quality control". SPANAM act in both Tokyo and Fukuoka.

Started "LIVE TOUR 007 ism" from Kido LIGHT HOUSE.

Sights Vol.2 with Starboard in February.

GEN who had supported SPANAM since 2003 withdrawed in April.

Started "LIVE TOUR 007 ism - Ishida Genichirou-".

In May, SHOZO (Ishida shozo), 20 years old, brother of GEN, joined with the band after the audition.



In June. New formed SPANAM has started. Toured at 6 places in EastCoast of US (NY, Washinton DC, etc).



2009

January

Started composing and charging musical energy.



November

Started live at Shimokitazawa 251 (audioleaf Presents -SUNSHINE HIT ME)、 Shindaita Fever ("Secret x Restaurant" pesents w/ MINOR LEAGUE / Fruits Explosion) with original bassist "YASHI" as a support member.

(YASHI plays also at Shibuya Cyclone on 21th November)



MASAYA of MINOR LEAGUE joined as a member.



Joined the tour of SUNS OWLS "Over Drive Tour"
