As a brisk night breeze made its way across the moon through the southeastern city of GA better known as Columbus, the angelic sound of Frankie Beverly and Maze singing "Before I Let Go" floated through the air from an old boom box where the grown folks played spades to a back corner room where it reached the ears of a little mischievous 4 year old. There stood 7AM peaking through the crack in the door marveling at the way in which the entire atmosphere of the room brightened up and came to life as a result of those sweet vocals over such a hypnotic bass line mixed in with numerous incredible guitar licks. At that moment it was clear to him what he wantted to do, he wantted to create music just like that. The type of music thats indulging to the ear while reaching the mysterious creviceses of the heart.

He is a song writer, singer and a lyricst born in Beaufort SC but raised in Columbus GA. 7AM started singing in church at the tender age of 5 years old. Around the time that he entered middle school he fell in love with Hip Hop everything from the sound down to the feel of it. Soon after he adding rapping to his arsenal of talents. He is also a very well rounded wriiter. His sucessful formula is just being real and honest through his music. Since 1998 7AM has been well known for bringing a distingushed sound to the group formly known as KINFOLK out of columbus GA. Monica Harris an A&R from Sony Records said " theres no dening it he is truly the real thing."

7AM currently has a mixtape out entitle Ya'll Got To Feel Me. The release of his debut album Southern Dialect has been pushed back until late 07. He is also one of the founders and CEO's of 5 Stones Productions. Where he plays a very productive role in artist development. In march of 07 Geechie One magazine nomanated him for artist of the year for the city of Charleston SC. He was also nomanated for having the video of the year for the smash hit "MY Shawty" which took the city by storm in 06. "My Shawty was the first video that he directed but since then he has directed 3 other projects. Being that he is so versatile you can expect the unexpected when he's on a track. He might take a hardcore rap track and lace it with some of the smoothest R&B vocals that you,ve ever heard or you might hear him spitting a breath taking 16 bars over the softest R&B track. Unlike alot of southern rappers 7AM speaks with a purpose like in the song "I Wont Settle For Less" when he says " I got a bond with GOD that people mistake for luck/When times get rough I know that he wont leave me stuck." Showing a softer side in the song "My Shawty" he otters "she makes it known that Im her man with the things that she do/ So I be talking like a ghost when I be calling her boo/ Shes like Aaliyah when at her best shes one in a million/ The one I gave my heart to got your boy catching feelins." Alot of artist lack song writing skills but that is where 7AM seperates himself from the rest of the herd. He has the ability to transform everyday life into words & melodies. As a writier he's not intimadated by any issue, in the song I Dont Know he addresses being helplessly in love with a woman that is just no good for him. Taken a page from Maury in the song Not Mine he also gives us a display of his story telling capabilies. The song is about a lying one night fling that is placing the responsibilities of her child on anyone that she has ever kicked it with in her life. With cuts like Tip Toeing, and Come With Me 7AM goes back to his roots by keeping it crunk!!!! Proving that he can also go commercial radio friendly hits such as Could It Be, Time Of Your Life, Tow Up and My Shawty should accumulate enough spends to take him nation wide. In the song One Someone he addresses the reason why it's so hard for a man to settle down and be with one women. If that's not enough records like My Life is Like, Smile and Dear Mr. Bush he shows us that he is aware of issue that are bigger then that of the hoods of america. When he was asked why is this album a must have to any collection his reply was "just listen to it, the music speaks for its self".

He has definitely come a long way from performing in local talent shows, and show cases. He has also opened up for artist such as Killier Mike, Akon, and Young Bloods just to name a few. He has head lined a number of parties, fashion shows and has been noted for being a pure professional in every since of the word. The songs that he makes are more then just music. It's more like a movement with a worthy cause. Somewhere down the line he hopes that the empire he is currently putting together will open up oppertunities for other artist that haven't been able to find their path through the music industry.

He's not a rookie to this game and he is equiped for longivity. The music industry is so over run by water down talent when you come across a artist of 7AM's calaber you dont close the door, you embrace him because greatness doesnt come around daliy. So brace yourself for 7AM, the dawning of a new day.
