Soundtruck aint shit. his name is flip. he makes beats since 93. he raps since 93. he listens to hiphop since 83. to reggae and dancehall since 89. just numbers anyway. hes part of austrian hiphopcrew TEXTA. he produced 6 albums for that group. some call it austrian hiphop classics. others think they suck. haters. after 17 years he finally released his first soloalbum called "Umberto Ghetto". did the beats, the raps and the cuts on that record. does a lot of hiphop beats for other cats too, for instance he produced FIVAs complete "Rotwild" album, which received massive critical acclaim in austria, germany and switzerland. did beats for recent albums by COUNTERPARTS CREW and REMO CONSCIOUS (both Bay Area). he will put out a producer album with US artists in late 2010. he does also reggae and dancehall productions. for instance his TOLEDO RIDDIM came out 2005 and featured tunes by Ward 21, Lady G, Macka Diamond, Zumjay, Pinchers and many others. recorded in jamaica. distributed by One Love Jamaica. was a nice experience. also did production for austro-german reggae duo MONO & NIKITAMAN. also mixed their last three albums. has a record label called TONTRAEGER RECORDS that was founded by Texta. check www.tontraeger-records.com . lots of fresh austrian hiphopacts are released on that imprint like MARKANTE HANDLUNGEN, DIE ANTWORT, RUECKGRAT, KAYO & PHEKT, ENGELSTAUB or MESCHUGGE. sometimes he likes to dj too. anything from soul to hiphop to reggae. seems like a busy schedule, right. naw, its all good. still got time to organize hiphop shows at club KAPU in linz. allright. thats enough for now. more coming soon.
