I've always been a lover of music, since I was a lil kid singing and dancing around da house while listening to da radio. My taste in music ranges from anything I think sounds good, it don't have to be just (urban/black) music. As a kid I mainly listened to Pop music, but as I got older I started listening to more Black/Urban music, ranging from R&B, Soul & Hip Hop (but always staying open minded).
My name came about whilst listening to music music as a kid & I'd always be so passionate about music and always perform music from the heart/soul. So named myself: SOULBRUVA, "Soul" being da feeling/passion, not "Soul" the music style & it's a name dat just stuck.
With a name like SOULBRUVA, people would expect me to sing Soul song's, sorry, but I'm (different), the word "Soul" has two terms or meanings: the music style & the feeling. My name is based of the feeling, so take me how you what, I'm a soulful rapper. As respect for the music style "Soul" I go by the name of SB Entertainer.
I started recording in 2004 as a serious artist, I would describe my style as positive, funny, inspiring music, touching on life situations & relationships, ranging from personal to universal, real music (from my point of view) with positive msg's from my heart & Soul.
My tracks range from slow and melodic to mid-tempo to fast tracks, so there's something for everyone, be sure to listen out for my tracks!!! I write all my songs, I love the flow of lyrics, and in the middle of working on a few projects, I want to develop myself as a great Music Arist that's around for years, music is my life, so it's all about da music, so WATCH THIS SPACE!!!!
I was the winner of the Lightning FM Chart for the UK Unsigned Festival March 2007. In which I performed as the opening act at the Kelly Price, Calvin Richardson and Glen Jones Concert. I also performed and collected an Award at the UK Unsigned Festival on 25th March 2007.
