From Morocco comes a face that would soon appeal to almost every Arab country and reach a massive audience joined by the desire to reveal the secret of this young multitalented artist…the secret of the “Queen Of Hearts”.

Born in Casablanca, Sophia first stood in front of a camera at the age of 4 for a diaper advertisement! Soon the nation saw her in a range of selective commercials as she became a solicited model in her country and in France.

At the age of 15, Sophia took part in the French motion picture “Soleil” starring Sophia Lauren and another Moroccan movie alongside actor Rasheed al Wali entitled “Wa Baad”.

The breakthrough for this young lady was when she got admitted by chance to the famous reality talent program “Star Academy” in its first season for the Middle East. Sophia came to the audition just to support a friend candidate but ended up getting herself the jury s approval and admiration!

As the Arab nation saw for the first time this reality program where young talents pushed themselves to the limit to prove their singing abilities, Sophia became unanimously the audience’ s sweet voice and sweet heart.

Millions of viewers watched closely Sophia’s every step in the academy and during the live performances where Sophia would sing angelically in front of yet a bigger audience who made it a ritual every Friday to watch “Star Academy” s prime.

Sophia was getting a high number of votes from the audience and the jury while she worked hard to perfect her performance.

During her stay in the academy, Sophia became famous for playing the guitar and for her unique interpretation of the song “Je suis Malade” as audience around the Arab world started to love the song and sing it while they couldn’t understand a word of French!

That was Sophia inside the Academy, determined yet graceful, creating her own image that became carved in the heart of many people who just couldn’t wait to see this young talent in the outside world…

As the season ended the “Star Academy” Students where launched in the real world. A new era began for the new born star as she toured the Middle East for a series of sold out concerts. Tunis, Kuwait, Egypt, Dubai, Jordan and Lebanon were on the schedule, but most importantly a crowd of loyal fans racing to get a glimpse of their favorite “Academicienne” Sophia…

Sophia who clearly stood out from her fellow candidates, was then chosen to perform at a unique concert with the promotion of “Star Academy France” in Lebanon.

From then onward, Sophia became restless as the first “Star Academy” album was released, the sales sky rocketed and the music video for the song “Jayi El Hakika” (the truth is coming) became one of the most requested on television. The “Star Academy” mania soon got the group to feature in a high budget TV commercial for Pepsi.

Sophia participated in Jamour Festival in her beloved Morocco where she sang wonderfully in front of a huge audience and a selection of VIPs. She also appeared as a main host and singer for Moroccan Channel 2 at New Year’s Eve 2005. Her elegance was still acclaimed by the media even long after the magic event was over.

Sophia was careful to stay in touch with her well established fan base in the Middle East and in Kuwait particularly where she signed an agreement with the Kuwaiti firm “Smile” for the usage of short songs and pictures on the mobile. The idea was a success and more opportunities awaited the rising star…

Throughout her journey in the spotlight, the press accompanied Sophia’s every move. Never getting enough of her mysterious magnetism, almost every prestigious magazine featured her face on the cover page time after time.

Sophia is now preparing her highly anticipated album as a solo artist. The album is expected to show her evolution and musical intensity. Collaborating with blab la the album will take Sophia to yet another level.
