The energetic pint size paragrapher Sonny Cruz was born and raised in Detroit, MI. Coming from a fairly functional musical background, he took a liking to music very early on in life. At the age of nine he put his thoughts into lyrics and his lyrics onto loose leaf. With Hip Hop influences such as Whodini, Run DMC, Rakim, and Ice Cube to name a fewSonny had found his calling.While perfecting his craft he met Mr. Bam Bang in which they formed the group MazzConffusion, later adding two more members----Drizzola( FREE MY NIGGA) and Truss.After performing in local clubs, bars, and talent shows, the squad would retire for the night at the legendary Hip Hop Shop ( THE FIRST ONE WHEN HEAD WAS THE DJ-----CATCH UP) where

Sonny known as Elbow rapped and rhymed among some of Detroit's finest. In the spring of 1999 MazzConffusion was invited to Atlanta,Ga. where they ripped the mic at the Atrium, while in ATL the group formed a nice size southern market.
