I was born in 1979 in the city of Long Beach.



I was the third of six children.



At the age of eight I already new that there was something special about my point of view and perspective of music, I knew who GOD was but wasnt sure of his importance in this world so caught up in being a kid and not knowing just how short life could be at such a young age.



My father and mother, both the young age of 28, were hard working and saving money to move our family out of the broken down drug infested neighborhood we lived in.



We moved 50 miles inland to the dry city of Fontana.



I was in the second grade and so far the youngest of three children.



As the years went by our family was expanded to six, I had two older sisters two younger sisters and one younger brother.



When I was in middle school, the sixth grade, I was already running track and cross country and known as the fastest kid in the school with spiky hair.



I was given the name sonic after a sega video game character who also ran fast and had spikes coming out of his head.



I started hanging out with the wrong crowd and felt secure that nobody would mess with me if I hung out with gang members.



Most of the kids in the school were scared of them and that made me feel protected.



I memorized most of the mainstream gangster rap lyrics that were on the radio and my friends would ask me to recite them all the time.



The gang I was hanging around with at school asked me and another friend to join and we both agreed to.



After school one day my friend got jumped into the gang at a park.



I was nervous knowing I was next.



A lady in a van was passing by and she rolled down her window and said she would call the cops if we didnt leave so we agreed to meet up at a different park the following day.



I walked home and when I got there my older cousin Paul was waiting for me. Paul knew I liked rap music so he invited me to his church Praise chapel in Riverside to attend a rap concert.



That night something transpired and I felt the warm spirit of GOD in my cold darkened soul.



I gave my life to GOD and never looked back.



I stopped hanging around the crowd I used to.



I began to write my own lyrics using JESUS as my inspiration.



I started entering and winning talent shows everywhere



I was the first in my family to graduate from high school, class of 98.



My parents never had a car so when I graduated I got a part time job and saved up to buy a used car.



I also saved enough money to buy myself a used piano, I had already been taking lessons for a few years.



When ever I got the opportunity to minister through the gift of music I took advantage of it.



GOD, family, then music was the order of my priorities from then on.



I set an example to my younger sisters and brother.



Now Im 29 and Im in the prime of my life.



I am as focused as ever.



My relationship with the Lord is what keeps me motivated.



I am willing to do anything I can to reach a soul, this is why I wake, work, and continue to fulfill my calling.



I am the voice of hope, the light in the darkness, the strength of the week, and the comforter for the needy, because greater is he that is in me then he that is in the world.



I am the temple of the truth.
