SOLSTICE

The black hearted alchemical brotherhood of SOLSTICE's original inception was 20 years ago, way back in the grim year of 1990. Originally expecting to embark upon a musical journey of several years in length, it has since become apparent that said journey will span decades, rather than the years previously envisioned.
After three skullcrushing releases, 1994's "LAMENTATIONS" (The bands only pure true doom metal release), 1996's "HALCYON" and 1999's "NEW DARK AGE" and uncountable gigs across Europe, the band folded in 2002, only to be ressurected in 2006 after Rich laid the ghost of his post SOLSTICE band, ISEN TORR to rest after their incredible EP. Slowly, a new line up was gradually put together and the band could envisage a time when again they could assault audiences with their arcane, epic metal.
To this day, the legacy of England's SOLSTICE has remained untouched, and their crown unobtainable even by the few bold enough to try, however a stirring from the sinistral depths has awoken the epic metal behemoth SOLSTICE. Founder member RICH WALKER, is now joined by NWOBHM legend PAUL BRITTON on lead vocals, drum titan RICH HORTON behind the kit, ASOMVEL's full moon lunatic LENNY ROBINSON on bass guitar and professional hooligan ANDY WHITTAKER on Guitar. The band are preparing to return to the frontline of battle in due course.
Rehearsals have begun, the band have their first confirmed live dates in Norway, Greece, and Germany and work has begun on the next album which has the title of "ENGLANDER". Our message to the haters, backstabbers and failures who spout their jealous bullshit online, we are the men you aspire to be, no surrender. Ever. We don't need your fucking bullshit "Publicists", "A&R Representitives", "Booking agents", "Hair stylists" and all the other crap you think underground heavy metal should have to be "Professional".

The "BLOOD FIRE DOOM" Box is currently been compiled, and news regarding its release date will be available in the next month or so, maybe, depends on how much I've drank and if I have a hangoverthe wait is possibly nearly over, allegedly, and with an additional DVD filled with all the footage we could muster of England's finest export since the Lancaster Bomber it will be worth thy hard earned monies.
"Only The Strong" Volume II is also in the pipeline, label to be confirmed,, more news as we have it. Once again old and rare demo's exhumed from the vaults for your listening pleasure.
A limited edition 10" single will possibly be released in time for the HAMMER OF DOOM Festival, with one song from the forthcoming "Englander" album. Nothing 100% definite, and we are NOT taking "Orders" or "Reservations" so do not ask.
