Rock / Metal / Ambient

Formed in 2004, Solareye prides themselves in not fitting into particular genres. They've worked very hard to break down the barriers of static musical classification, establishing their creedo of "If it sounds good, feels good, and gets the people moving, we're playing it." After a slight lineup change following the release of their debut album, PyroGlyphic, the Band is back on track and yet again bringing a fresh new flavor to the D/FW music scene. All of this is well backed by the band's live show, which is in its own right, unorthodox. Occasionally throwing an ALL acoustic song smack in the middle of a brutally agressive set, 'just to keep 'em guessing.' Their lyrical content, while filled with metaphors, and indirect reference, remain simple in the fact that they draw attention to the small things in life that most take for granted. To Quote Chris, Bass Guitar, "We're all on a huge rock, floating at 1000mph through the infinite expanse that is space, and for some reason, not many find that to be truely amazing. We're trying to change that, among other things. We're story tellers, and above all, we're artists." In their still young carreer, Solareye has already found themselves invited to play with the likes of MushroomHead, Fair to Midland, Element Eighty, and The Feds, among others.Whats more, they are gaining new sponsers seemlingly by the month. They are NOT an act to miss, and to quote a DJ from the rock/alt radio station in Dallas, "They are well worth the cover charge to see them, which is more than I can say for most other acts in DFW right now."
