Wussup everybody? I've always had a passion for Hip Hop. Way before it was even catagorized as "HIP HOP." I was just turning 6 yrs old when i was introduced to Bass 91.7 a pirate radio station that UNCLE LUKE set up in the City of Miami, Fl. ( located in Liberty City on the corner of 12 Ave & N.W 54 Street across from the old Zayres). It must have been sometime around 1984 or 1985 when i fell in love with the culture. Thanks to the underground, i was able to know what was going on in other hoods/ghettos around the US. For the first time in my life i knew other music existed other than the Rock music that saturated the radio then. During the same time i had a neighbor who use to rap(freestyle). He put me on to the who rappin shit. I grew up on artist like AND DJ'S LIKE: RUN DMC, SLICK RICK, ERIC B & RAKIM, 2 LIVE CREW, JT MONEY, POISON CLAN, LAST AZIATIC DESCIPLES, PUBLIC ENEMY, DJ MAGIC MIKE, DJ DISCO DAVE, SUGAR HILL DJ'S, RYTHM ROCKER,BIZMARKIE, N.W.A, ICE CUBE, DIGGIN IN DA CRATES CREW, MICHAEL JACKSON and all the other artist that were a part of that era along with the ones that came after(DEAD PREZ, BIGGIE, TUPAC, AND MORE.).
I remember my neighborhood "Allapattah" go thru various Hi's & Lows. I saw what cocaine and crack did to many in my neighborhood alongside others in the neighboring hoods(Wynwood, Liberty City, Brown Subs, Little Haiti). I knew then that i was gonna do something Big in my life at some point that would significantly change perspectives and broaden the views of those interested in higher understandings other than the cookie cut lifestyles that many of our people are conditioned to.
With a passion to be heard, I wrote lyrics and studied alongside producers and teachers to fine tune the skill of making music to the ears. Seeking the truth in my surroundings i came to a realization.
.that no one really wants to know the truth. Just like no one really want to listen to other ppls troubles and dilemas.
So I ended up linking up with my dawg Sammy Boy in the 90's and terrorized da streets in by mid 90's. We would freestyle alot. Then an old friend from the old music group moved back down from Tennessee. We formed a 3 man group called I.V(Intellectual Violence 1997). That lasted about 3yrs ( i never knew why Sammy Boy lost interest). The group then changed the name to SOFLA KINGZ in 2001.(research)
NOW, In 2010, i have accomplished a whole lot. I've been a part of over 20 full projects(cds). From production, to recording, to mixing, mastering, full cd duplication with printing on both cd and inserts, and I am now a solo artist. I still work with other artist. Preferrably artist with the same ambition/passion as myself or greater. I only strive for perfection. If u've heard my work before hopefully it can speak for itself. I do not consider myself as the best only because I'm constantly improving my craft. I am alot older now, and I no longer listen to mainstream radio (it keeps the masses dumb). Not that the artist are WACK or anything because they obviously are making sales, but they definitely do not meet my requirements of what " REAL" (in the culture that caught my ear in the mid 80's) is. I respect only those that respect anything that has to do with me, or, anything that is affiliated with me.
* Imma hood nigga first
* Then I am a street poet
* I'm a hood nigga first.then i am a rapper.
I know what Miami is, and the who's and the what's that made Miami what it is. If a nigga bragg too much.he's probably lying.
-Everybody got a price.
-So, everyone can be bought.
-How much are u worth?
I react to every situation whether it is for or against. with that said, I'm tired of fake mutherfukkas claimin this city. Thats why i don't listen to radio. So now i introduce myself to yall "BOOYAH."
I'd like to thank GOD for giving me the strength to cope with so many fake ppl in the past, my present, and my not so distant future. And now i ask GOD to be there alongside me when I'm droppin' lyrical bows on all the fake ones that exist today. And, if for any reason I must be dat hood nigga. then so be it.
So, what's your story?
BOOYAH
