Il progetto Snow rose nasce nell'inverno 2004-2005 da un comune desiderio di esprimere la musica nella sua veste più semplice. I brani scelti, pur appartenendo a generi musicali e autori apparentemente lontani tra loro, acquistano una comune armonia nella nuova veste minimale e acustica.
The Snow Rose project started in Winter 2004-2005 from a common wish to express music in its essential features.
This acoustic and essential feature is what gives harmony to the songs chosen, apparently taken from authors and styles distant from each other.
ALESSANDRA ILARI
Started singing in 1995 supported by Giordano Gambogì, and then she took part in several cover bands like RE DOC, with which she participated in the Match Music Live in Ancona.
In 1998-99 she joined the band UMA, and with them she sang at the Fète de la Music in Beirut, Lebanon.
In 2002 her voice was part of the project Friends Again by Moreno Bocedi and Mauro Tronconi, aimed at collecting money for a charity organisation.
Since 2003 she has been the DIRTY WORKS lead vocalist.
Inizia a cantare nel 1995 con il sostegno di Giordano Gambogi, per poi entrare a far parte di diverse cover band tra cui i RE DOC con i quali partecipa al Match music live di Ancona. Nel periodo 1998-99 si unisce al gruppo Uma con il quale si esibisce alla Fète de la music a Beirut in Libano. Nel 2002 presta la propria voce al progetto "Friends Again" di Moreno Bocedi e Mauro Tronconi per la realizzazione del Cd "Listen to the dogs" ideato per raccogliere fondi per un'associazione animalista. Dal 2003 entra a far parte dei Dirty works come cantante solista.
GABRIELE CAVALLI
In 1990 he started the Wild Junkers band, playing the bass and bringing American Rock (Mellencamp, Hiatt, Petty.) around Northern Italy. He also played the acoustic guitars in their CD Aint that America, recorded in 1995.
In 1997 he played live with Brando for the tv show Hit Hit on Mtv.
In 1998-99 he collaborated with Wilco, from the RATS, on the arrangements of his new songs.
In 2000 he recorded, as a bass player, the CD The soul Crusader: the songs of B. Springsteen by the ex-Rocking Chairs Graziano Romani.
With him he took part in the following promotional tour in 2001 (Milano, Torino, Roma, Rimini) and in the Red Ronnie Tv show Help.
Together with Graziano Romani he also played the bass on the CD Lost & Found: songs for the Rocking Chairs released in September 2002.
In the same year he played the acoustic guitars for the project Friends Again.
Since 2000 he has been member of several local bands (Blackberry, Magic Bus, Malgretù, Tucson Flat Sellers), and from 2002 to 2004 played with Elisabetta Vezzani in the Pink Moon acoustic duet.
Sometimes he still collaborates with G. Romani in his live performances and records acustic guitar in the song "Tre colori" included in the same Romani's album. At the end of 2007 he's bass player for Irish songwriter Andy White in some italian tour gigs.
Nel 1990 forma il gruppo Wild Junkers in cui milita fino al 1998 suonando il basso e proponendo covers di Rock americano (Mellencamp, Hiatt, Petty ecc.) in locali del nord Italia e realizzando nel 1995 il cd autoprodotto "Ain't that America" in cui suona anche le chitarre acustiche. Nel 1997 collabora con Brando dal vivo su Videomusic nella trasmissione Hit Hit con Victoria Cabello. Nel periodo 1998-99 collabora con Wilko dei Rats per l'arrangiamento di nuovi brani originali del musicista modenese. Nel 2000 registra come bassista il CD "Soul Crusader: the songs of B. Springsteen" dell'ex Rocking Chair' Graziano Romani con successivo tour promozionale nel 2001 (Milano, Torino, Roma, Rimini ecc) e partecipazione a Help di Red Ronnie. Sempre con G. Romani partecipa come bassista alle registrazioni dell'album "Lost & Found: songs for the Rocking Chairs" uscito nel settembre 2002. Nello stesso mese suona la chitarra acustica nel CD benefico "Friends Again".
A partire dal 2000 fa parte di diverse formazioni locali (Blackberry, Magic Bus, Malgretù, Tucson flat sellers), mentre tra il 2002 e il 2004 costituisce con Betty Vezzani il duo acustico Pink Moon. Saltuariamente continua a collaborare dal vivo con Graziano Romani con cui nel 2007 partecipa alla registrazione della canzone "Tre colori" inclusa nell'omonimo album dell'artista emiliano. Nel 2007, 2008 e 2009 partecipa come bassista al tour italiano del cantautore irlandese Andy White con Lele Borghi dei Mamamicarburo alla batteria. Tra il 2008 e il 2009 registra tutte le parti di basso e chitarre acustiche per il nuovo progetto di Graziano Romani, un concept album dedicato al personaggio dei fumetti Zagor uscito su CD ad Ottobre 2009.
Dal 2005 ad oggi fa parte del duo acustico Snow rose insieme ad Alessandra Ilari mentre di recente si è riunito alla formazione originale dei Wild Junkers per nuovi concerti. Di recente è ancora impegnato al basso elettrico e acustico nel nuovo CD di Graziano Romani "My name is Tex" in uscita a Novembre 2011 per Panini Comics&Sergio Bonelli Editore anche in tutte le edicole italiane.
