BIOGRAPHY
of S.R Steve St. Jean Known by his singing name S.R (Smooth Rhythm) was born in Haiti on the hills of Port Au Prince on April 19, 1987, that’s where his parents meet his mother a Haitian refugee and his father a Cuban refugee, where later at the age of 16 SR’s mother gave birth to him, a star was born, then 3 months later his parents decided to move to the U.S. to provide a better living for their son, where they quickly made New York there new home, staying in Brooklyn on Ocean Ave, SR quickly started showing his singing abilities at the age of 4, performing for his mother every time he would hear a song on the radio, as to come later he would also find out he could dance just as well, putting on little talent shows for his friends in the neighborhood .At the age of 11 SR’s father passed away due to medical complications, which sadly struck both him and his mother very hard, SR being his parents first and only child, not knowing how she would be able to support for her son, SR’s mother wasn’t working, she got some money together and his mother decided to move once again to find a easier way of making ends meet for her and SR, where they now found there next move to land them in Miami , which would turn out to be the best thing to ever happen to them. SR later found a position at the “Full Gospel Assembly“, where he let his talent pour out, leaving everyone there in shock, that someone so young could sound so soulful. Its later SR would come to find out how multitalented he is when he joined a choir called “Sons of God”, where he started learning how to play various instruments, his favorite instrument was the drums, he would sing and at the same time play the drums, realizing how much people loved to hear his voice, and listen to him play the drums, he decided to start making sounds of his own, and that’s when SR took interest in learning to make beats. Just as every producer he started off a little shaky, later learning to master the keyboard, being able, to compose, write, dance, produce, and sing, SR was a force to be reckoned with, at the age of 14 SR was known all around town for his majestic voice, entering talent shows, performing for his new friends and neighbors in Miami , SR was making his name known, every where he would go people would know who he was, and what he was known for, his gifted singing abilities. During his junior year in high school, while attending North Miami Beach Sr High, SR joined the school choir, again letting his singing abilities shine, taking the lead singing position in spectrum, leaving all his classmates in disbelief, that someone with his talents, and singing abilities wasn’t some where on T.V., performing in front of an audience of thousands, SR soon took interest in football playing for his school, where developed the since of never giving up, no matter what the road blocks stood in his way, to break through, and never forgetting all the things his mother did for him, because she always told him, he can do anything he wants and nobody can tell him different. Presently SR is bound on making his self the HEART of R&B, with influences like James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Lionel Richie, and many more great singers just to name few, he’s set on leaving his mark just as all of those greats did in their time, SR is setting a goal and with the support of his fans, friends, and family, SR is set to blow and be the next hottest singer to come up out of Miami , and that’s not a promise, it’s a guarantee.Peace, love, and blessing to everyone.
