The band started back in Turin (Piedmont, Italy) in 1997, after a year spent trying reharsing and doing stuff the first band named eleven ska-core songs demo was born.We still don't know why right now but that demo has been broadcasted by all independent radio stations around here. For that reason tha band had the chanche to do a lot of gigs even with best knewed bands like Marlene Kuntz in front of 10000 crazy people.So a second demo named "Proto" has been released back in 2000, from that point tha band was pretty busyed touring Italy with band like: No Fun At All, Persiana Jones, Shandon, Dr. Calipso.In 2002 the band was engaged by Uaz Records, Persiana Jones owned label, that put first a song in a compilation called "Italian Ska Invasion 2" on march 2002 and later took care about the release of they're first record in october named "Neuro" ditristributed by Venus in whole Italy records store.The band was on tour from 2003 through december 2004 doing the gigs opening Persiana Jones.We have to remind many partecipations on compilations like: Stay Rude Rebel (Rude Records), United We Can (Kimera Records), Eskalibur vol.2 (Eska Records), This is Uaz (Uaz Records), Punk Riot (Indie Box) and "Speciale Punk" released by Rock Sound Magazine with a big interview.On february the recording session of the new record starting out, "Brucia" the name of the second records was produced by Pippo Monaro (Persiana Jones, Magilla Gorilla, Wha Companion, Numb, The Bluebeaters) and right after recording a new member, Wiilly (guitar player of Fly's Battle, Proctor, Persiana Jones) joined the band, was a big change for the band with new aggressive sound and just after reharsing for months and a few band member problems the new record "Brucia" was released by Uaz Records on november 24-2006.The band did a show case at the M.E.I. (Italian Independent Label Meeting) in Faenza and the following "Brucia Tour" started out from Hiroshima Mon Amour in Turin, they went back and forth from north to south Italy in reverse order touring with Heideroosjes (Epitaph) and Less Than Jake (Fat Wreck and Warner Music).About this record a video of the first track "Ringrazio" was shoted in the club (ex squat) that first gave them the opportunity to play live, actually tha band is still touring Italy, planning a tour in East Europe for 2009 and reharsing new songs for the new record coming out on 2009.
Gli Slide si formano nel Settembre 1997. Dopo circa un anno di attività nasce la prima demo omonima e autoprodotta composta da 11 brani di impronta punk ska-core. La demo viene trasmessa per le radio indipendenti Torinesi e permette al gruppo di partecipare al concorso Pagella Rock classificandosi 3° dopo la finale svoltasi nella centrale Piazza San Carlo di Torino.
Nel settembre 1999 il gruppo viene contattato per suonare prima del concerto dei Marlene Kuntz al Palamadza di Torino davanti a circa 10000 persone.
Dal 2000 inizia così una fitta rete di concerti all' Hiroshima Mon Amour di (TO) come spalla ai più affermati gruppi della scena punk e ska italiana ed europea come Shandon, Persiana Jones, Stiliti, No Fun At All (Epitaph), Dr Calipso, Franziska.
Esce nel Febbraio del 2000 il secondo demo del gruppo; "Proto". Il gruppo inizia a uscire dal Piemonte toccando quasi tutte le regioni del Nord Italia e Svizzera.
Nel 2002 inizia la collaborazione con la Uaz Records dei Persiana Jones con l'inserimento di un brano sulla compilation "Italian Ska Invasion 2" uscita a Marzo del 2002 che è il preludio per l'uscita del loro primo disco. Esce nell'Ottobre 2002 "Neuro" prodotto dalla Uaz Records e distribuito dalla Venus. L'uscita del disco porta il gruppo in tour in Italia per tutto il 2003 fino al Dicembre 2004 e molte sono le date in compagnia dei Persiana Jones.
Nello stesso periodo sono da ricordare inoltre le partecipazioni a varie compilation:
Stay Rude Stay Rebels (Rude Records),
United We Can (Kimera Records).
Nel settembre 2003 esce un brano degli Slide sul sampler dello "Speciale Punk"di Rock Sound con intervista alla band; è poi la volta di
"Eskalibur vol 2"(Eska Records),
"This is Uaz"(Uaz Records),
"Punk riot" (Indie box).
Nel Febbraio 2005 iniziano la registrazioni del secondo album degli Slide prodotto da Pippo Monaro fonico dei Persiana Jones. Dopo circa 2 mesi di prove, agli inizi di Maggio 2005 viene ufficializzata l'entrata nel gruppo di Whito, ex chitarrista dei Fly's Battle e da Luglio 2006 chitarrista dei Persiana Jones.
Nel Marzo 2006 vengono ultimate le registrazioni di "Brucia" che esce il 24 Novembre 2006 sempre per la Uaz Records e viene presentato al Meeting delle Etichette Indipendenti (MEI).
Nel Gennaio 2007 parte il "Brucia Tour" dall'Hiroshima Mon Amour di Torino, l'Italia intera viene raggiunta da Aosta a Cagliari per un totale di 60 concerti.
Vanno ricordate, oltre alle numerose date insieme ai Persiana Jones, i concerti con Heideroosjes (Epitaph) e successivamente con i Less Than Jake (già Fat Wreck e Warner Music).
Nell'estate 2007 vengono effettuate le riprese del video "Ringrazio", prima traccia di "Brucia". Il video è stato girato al Pad14 di Collegno, un modo per la band di tornare nel locale che per primo li ha ospitati e per coinvolgere e ringraziare chi gli Slide li supporta dall'inizio.
Il video è già presente sui più noti canali multimediali e da Gennaio 2008 verrà ampliato alle reti televisive del settore.
La band sarà in tour fino all'autunno 2008, per entrare poi nuovamente in studio per il terzo lavoro.
