Was born and still a swarm the streets of HARLESDEN, NW10

Started off disliking the whole garage scene and was strictly listening to dancehall, biggie and tupac. . . . . But this quickly changed when i heard Hobsons choice and '' oh no " on delight fm 103.00 on sunday nights b4 school.

It then came to my attention that garage wasnt only '' olly olly olly "

Before man knew it, man was locked every sunday. I started spittin along with certain lyrics, until i said to myself '' yo. . . let me see if i can write my about my own life and my experiences . . . . . . . AND DATS WHERE IT ALL BEGAN



There werent nuff man spittin on garage from my ends as a majority of us grew up on nuthin but dancehall. I used to check a bredrin who had technics, a tape deck, 1000 records and a MIKE so man used to mess about, make tapes and take dem home.



More and more messin about equalled to blind practice and before i knew it, i was building a SMALL fan base in the area and more and more people were approaching me with positive kicks and nuthin but LOVE.



Man started to get more on the garage ting and was lockin in to different stations when delight wasnt on and starting tuning into LUSH FM 107.4 which was much more local with much more local talent. My bredrin was hypin my

name to crew from the ends called Devastating Sounds (D.S) who were already doin big tings in the ends!!!!!.



Time passed and the hypin and hypin of S.K.A.T.E.S got too much for some members who wanted to hear man. . . . .They heard man i was like yeah ur alright still for some1 so young (15-16).



So i joined but couldnt get on LUSH FM, so i used to lock in to da man dem a b like '' if i get on radio dat would b nuts. . . i've been listening to dese man on their 4 time''. man thought ''if i up my game dey might just say f*** it''

4-5 months dwn the line. . . . . after more & more bars,holding the open mike at ice fm's all dayers in the velvet lounge and bein approached by SILVA.B. . . . I was goin to go on ice fm if i made that call but was informed by fellow D.S member DJ REMA.DEE that i wasnt gonna hear from silva 4 now. Man was like that is a crosses!!!! its all hood though init!!!!



da hype grew a little more as i was gettin a little more airplay on LUSH, and people in my school started showin me love!!!!.



my tutor was a music teacher so r base always had da grand piano deya!!!, so whenever there was any form of registration i was doin my ting on piano, which werent a very GOOD ting!!!!. My tutor was surprised too c dat man could actually learn something, so he just used too let man role and push man too learn the keys a little more better!!!!

da older students were always in some next room producing beats, so a couple man used to harrass my tutor 4 some time too build beats, but he'd always say 1 day as he was workin closely wid the olders. 1 older person in my school always used to b performin in assembly constantly wid no fear who was KEVIN MARK TRAIL. I used sit dere like ''bap bap how's man just poppin on da stage like dat and he aint even shook'' I FINK IT WAS DERE I KNEW WOT I WANTED TO DO!!!



Unfortunately my tutor left a man was pissed cos man couldnt study music as a G.C.S.E and build on da skills i knew. But 1 day my school asked OXIDE AND NEUTRINO to come down and perform. Like half way through the performance my government was exposed and i was in da spotlight to spit in assembly wid my next bredrin. every was watchin man i didnt even wanna go up but man just said ''f*** it im doin dis''. man spat and every 1 went nuts!!!!

but i was like how did even get on list?? whoever u was bless though!!!!!

After that BIGGA FISH who ws doin da biggest raves in da ends at the time also started vistin our school a couple of times. 1 day the came down 4 a best mc battle within my school, but i was like ''f*** dat man''. Man was dere bless just watchin the best dj battle, when BOM my governments called out again. . . . . '' I WAS FINKIN SOME1 IS TAKIN DA PISS NOW''. but again man did his ting and won the battle. BIGGA FISH took my number address etc. . . . but man never heard or saw a perfomance again. . . . . BUMPED!!!!!!!



D.S broke up and every1 went their seperate ways. . . . .



I got distracted by the roads and wasnt really on it as hard, me and niggas i grew up wid started 2 get alittle more serious and started to spit and do sets in da local youth club & started recording tapes and takin dem home. I dont know how but r names were floatin around da ends and more people knew about us. transformed the place into local practice 4 our material. 1 of bredrins bumped into DJ REMA DEE who asked wot i was on, My bredrin told him ''i was gonna be the next best thing'' not knowin i never had 1 piece of material to offer to any form of fan base.



1 day man was doin wot they do and i bumped into an old friend SADIE AMA, who knew people that had my tapes and they used to leave them layin around, so she heard wot man was capable of!! n e way!! man was just there smokin and smokin until she said ''SKATES R U STILL SPITTIN'' . . . . if ur still dere. . . . . . . u know i never had no material so i ws like ''NAH MAN'' she just looked at me and said ''UR DUMB'' . . . i looked at my 2 bredrins like nah. . . . . blud did u just hear that!!!



Time flew as it does and i was still uneasy wid wakin up and doin wot man does on da roads. So me and bredrin signed up 4 a music course constructed by BIGGA FISH. It was mainly hosted by SMOOTHY who was an older brother of a friend and also doin his ting 2 bring the ends thru like BATTLE OF DA MICS etc.

Our 1st task was to write a 8 bar poem to let every1 in da group know a little about u. Man spat his 8 bar/poem thingy and SMOOTHY stopped me at the end and said. . . . . . .''HOLD ON. . . . . UR SKATES??? I GOT TAPES OF U LYIN AROUND IN MY YARD!!!!''. . . . I WAS SAYIN ''IS DIS HOW MUCH PEOPLE REMEMBER ME AND I AINT GOT S**T TO SHOW!!!''



So dat night i went straight back to barring and smoothy started to bting man in wid some free studio time in grove. man recorded a couple of tracks and did 1 smoothy which was doin alrite on LAYLOW FM 106.85. Smoothy was eager to get man back on track and invited man down to some shows with his crew, mans showin u love u cant back down so man was dere!!!



I Was still at the course when the owner of BIGGA FISH came into meet the people who was interested in the course. As soon asi got da chance i was like ''u lot bumped me when i was in school ya nah u owe some compensation and im on ur course'' as it was so long ago i had to really hustle something at of nothing u get me. Eventually i hustled him to give me some free studio time i was tryin 2 get on track and he agreed!!!.



I started to do some tracks but the quality werent all dat as the person who knew how to wk the studio ducked out on the sly as he never really wanted to help man. So i took da tracks home and i was like ''dis is s**t man''



1 day man was on his face and said u know wot f*** if dere shit im puttin all dis on 1 cd and im doin a mixtape. I got it together and hit the ends to c wa gwan and tryin mk something outa nuthing. some peeps were like''nah man i aint feelin it '' and some said''yeah blud im feelin it'' i was finkin dis aint even really nuthin to feel but bless though. said to myself ''i gotta go harder''



I started off tryin to find a better studio to record in, which luckily i found!!!

man started doin some freestyles to let people know mans still here. I took da home and it was a different sound. so i started bein a regular!!!



off chance i bumped into DJ REMA DEE who gave me his number and told me he'll holler at me and 1day he did and told me to come down to spit at his BOXING DAY SPECIAL wid HENY.G, NK and J5. It was then i 1st heard of the ANTI SOCIAL ENTERTAINMENTS movement who had already been workin hard and promoting there material. Man was spittin over the everyday grime beats, but was touched but some tunes i'd never heard b4 produced by SILKIE and QUEST. The show was nuts still.



As my friend was back in contact with HENY.G and was in bk in contact with REMA DEE, there was couple of cover shows which man attended but 1 show in particular i happened to bumped into SILKIE whos beats id been feelin 4rm the BOXING DAY SPECIAL, and i had to approach him and told him i was feelin his productions. SILKIE showed man love and gave man his number. BIG UP SILKIE!!!

I contacted him and got da 1st track which was JASON and feat many other artists from the ends (NW/W London). I recorded a freestyle so SILKIE could c wa gwan but i werent really happy with it personally as id done so much freestlyles in da past!!!!. I took it home and said '' I should done a chorus or something man''



So i went to the recording studio id been usin and showed G.I who was recording a majority of my material. . . . G.I's chromosomes are made up of HIP-HOP and RAP, but there was something about the track he was feelin.''

SOUNDBWOY DEAD RIGHT NIZOW'' was created and G.I was like ''nah i never liked the GRIME business b4 but u got a diferent energy'' Considering he never liked grime i had to take it on board. G.I told me ''to make sure i come back and keep puttin in wk'' BIG UP G.I ALL DAY!!!!!



Man is still here tryin 2 mk da dream come true. . . LIFES WOT U MAKE IT INIT!!!!!!!
