Since their inception in 2004, Six Chasing Seven has

been creating a sound unlike any other. From a classically

trained pianist, to a funk inspired rhythm section and

fronted by a reggae and soul singer, the band's live act has

gained the reputation of providing a rock show with a little

something for everyone.

A lineup change in 2006 brought the attention of Bruce

Flohr (RCA, ATO) and Boyd Tinsley (Dave Matthews Band).

What started as an invitation to co-write a few tunes led to

Tinsley producing a full-length album for the band. Tinsley

was quoted as saying, "This band has so much talent it

inspires me." The band is currently touring behind their EP

"Direction" produced by Chris Keup (Jason Mraz, OAR, Josh

Kelley) and Stewart Myers (Jason Mraz, Mandy Moore,

Agents of Good Roots) while waiting for the Tinsley

sessions to be finalized.

In the summer of 2008 the band was featured on

Fearless Music Television, a nationally syndicated show on

FOX dedicated to live music. Six Chasing Seven collected

115,000 of 150,000 internet votes with the remaining 6

bands splitting the other 35,000. The results were clear

that SCS rose above the standard with their rock infused

reggae pop sound and was allotted another slot on the show

the following week.

With the inspired groove of James Brown, the musical

drive of the Allman Brothers, and the tenacious hope of Bob

Marley, Six Chasing Seven won't stop until their sound fills

the radio waves and music halls across the planet.

"Strong grooves and rich vocals."

"Six Chasing Seven, . from Southern Virginia, may be the best band I’ve seen this year. 6C7 operates comfortably on several levels: they can move the crowd with a high-energy style, or they can smooth it out with an inspirational message that’s easy like a Sunday morning."

-Syracuse In Focus

"If you're thinking about heading to their next show, dig out some comfortable shoes and take a nap first; it could be a long, hot night."
