as Parisian songstress and multi instrumentalist Sista M describes herself ,but good music people we have a more detailed insight into the musical world of the Sista ,set to release on Springline's Sub Sub label this year (more of which later)

Indeed he did ,Brinsley played a selection of tunes from a demo
sent to him from the Sista on his 'Lively up yourself' show in 2004 on BBC Radio stating at the time "Great songs! great voice on those dubs ,if that album's gonna be released you'll be hearing it on my show"
Singer ,songwriter,producer and DJ ,is there no end to the talents of the Sista?
We've dug back through the archives to give you a little insight into the musical escapades of Sista M.
Her first album "A Kind Of Music" blends together a fusion of Dub ,R&B, Soul and Electronica beats in gritty street vibe with spacious beatscapes interwoven with an almost hidden warmth of old uncle hip hop in the mix , the very nature of variation in vibe and styles makes genre ization almost impossible hence the title of the album. Privately released to iTunes by Sista M and whilst the album was waiting to be discoveredSista M continued her musical adventure by composing and producing material for ARTE TV and So What Productions for a documentary aired on the television channel.
Following this her music works from the "A Kind Of Music" album were featured by Tom Robinson on BBC's 'BBC Introducing' show ,Sista M won the listeners vote.
After which she was invited to sing at London's Jazz cafe by legendary Dub wizard Mad Professor , recently Sista M has been in collaborations with many artist's including Brother Culture and The Dubsmith to name but two.
She moved to London from Paris in 2007 to promote her self release album 'A Kind Of Music' but admits "I'm just not into this part of it ,i can never get the promotion side of my own music sorted ,although i have much experience in promoting other artist's ,I have worked for many years in the music business in France mostly in the world of Jazz and Hip Hop tours with Wu Tang Clan and others as a tour manager but when it comes to promoting my own ha ha ,soon come"
Which brings us up to date UK side , Aware of the private release of Sista M's album for some time now ,Springline's founder Gibsy contacted the Sista with a request for her to take down the private release with a view of a re release and publicity through Springline's Sub Sub label and after many hours of communications and negotiations between both camps Springline will be putting out this unique album sometime soon this year. Stay tuned to the sites and to the new 'Sound Of Now' radio station to hear music from this album created by a very gifted artist.

First stage appearance in France opening for cult French Singer
Christophe Miossec in front of over a thousand to great reactions from
the audience.
2005-07 various music business in France including tour managing ,DJ ing and
writing music.
2007 Moved to London.
Became official member of the Da Vinci Sound system,
released privately the debut album "A Kind Of Music"
Resident DJ at @ westway TV also DJ ing at Dogstar ,Brixton.

Auteur-compositeur-interprète, Sista M est une fille qui chante, programme, joue de la basse, de la guitare, et du Macintosh. Elle produit ses morceaux toute seule comme une grande et adore rester enfermée au chaud dans son home studio, surtout en hiver. Parfois, quand meme, elle est obligée de sortir car elle a beaucoup d'amis et en plus, elle est aussi D.J:

A la croisée de la soul et du dub, Sista M mele ses influences dans un tout difficilement étiquetable, "A kind of music" , un mélange de programmations chaloupees, bass lines laid back, melodies pop et flow syncopé, le tout mixé à la sauce dub.
Reperée sur la B.B.C, par Brinsley Forde, qui la diffuse plusieurs fois dans son émission "Lively up yourself", aux cotés des plus grands, elle fait aussi craquer Christophe Miossec en France et fait sa 1ère partie à la Cigale.
Sista M travaille egalement en tant que sound designer pour la television, les sites web etc.
Sista M est installee a Londres- Brixton depuis mai 2007 & a, depuis, travaillé avec Preetesh/Mattafix, Matthew Phillip, Nyika, Apple Rabbits, Da Vinci sound System et est devenue I-fficially Membre de Da Vinci Sound System depuis 2008 Mind the noise!!!
