SISKIN are Galen Ayers and Kirsty Newton; a distinctive female duo whose acoustic, quirky, melody-driven pop songs have been courting new fans across the UK and Europe since their debut album was released last year. Expect soul-stinging, story-telling lyrics and beautiful, intricate harmonies with hooks that will stay with you long after they leave the stage.

Siskin released their eponymous and beautifully hand-crafted debut album at the end of 2009. Their first single, the only cover on the record, was their version (with a twist) of Joe Jackson's hit "It's Different For Girls", which caught the attention of Joe himself and impressed his manager so much that he now represents Siskin in the US. The album sleeve is a limited-edition, fabric-covered thing of beauty and has been admired for its originality.

The girls released their second single "So Much Fun" in March 2010 and filmed their debut promo video with director Andrew Merlino and top fashion and celebrity photographer Oly Barnsley. The song garnered radio play on several stations in the UK and Europe including BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 2, BBC London and Radio Monaco.

Siskin's song "Traffic In My Mind" was recently used as the theme tune to the acclaimed French web-series "Kali" on Canal Plus. The girls have a special place in their hearts for France, having played at the Altitude Festival in Meribel and opening the famous "Les Femmes s'en Melent" Festival in Grenoble 2 years ago.

They appeared at the legendary Isle of Wight festival in June 2010 and will perform at the first International Arts Festival in Hydra, Greece this coming September.

Kirsty and Galen are currently writing new songs for their eagerly anticipated next album which they will record later this year.
