Sinuism started assaulting the senses many years ago and have steadfastly continued ever since. Line-ups have changed and been finalised this year. With an eye to the future the band has been writing and recording material consistently. 2008 has seen them gig far and wide; reaching out to new audiences and taking their brutality to unsuspecting new fans that are joining an ever-growing following that can’t get enough of their music. The band is full of energy and gives it all too every performance, earning them a reputation as a live act not to be missed. Skilful song writing ensures that they are not a one-trick pony with variations within their songs to keep even the shortest attention span focused firmly on them. With vocals that pummel your ears and backing music that is the very definition of metal, Sinuism will guarantee an exciting set that will enthuse any crowd. Co-operative and consistent, this is a band to watch as they continue their march to conquer all.

Sinuism started the gig with Jim apologising for being unable to remember the songs that he had helped to write-always a good sign. Bearing in mind that Jim had organised 90% of the day, it was no surprise that his mind was fuzzy (that and the occasional tot of alcohol to warm himself up). Annoyingly enough, they played a great set and there was no letdown for the fans who had been bracing themselves for disappointment and cock-ups to talk about for months to come. The band are one of the heaviest that play locally and Chris had changed into the Sinuism costume by this stage which set them apart from his Hurtcore performance.

-Catherine Jackson, Alton Commie Promoter

They were followed by Sinuism from Haslemere. This was a younger, more modern style of metal and the contrast could not have been more striking. The guys were mixing with the crowd on the dance floor, the music was much, much faster and full of energy. For sure, it lacked some of the finesse, but what it lacked in Guitar Hero points, it made up for in unrestrained aggression. It was music that you felt, not just listened to. It got the crowd going very nicely indeed, too.
