The debut CD entitled "Close To Me" for songstress, Angela, has arrived!



This album provides listeners an opportunity to enjoy "real music" again with songs written to take you on a journey experiencing soulful dance grooves, pop rock, smooth and powerful ballads, to rich vocals enhanced with mellow harmonies laced with a hint of jazz.



In collaboration with Producer Val Watson, Angela boldly displays her songwriting and vocal abilities with her rich yet effortless deliveries. Angela's soulful phrasing and vocal attitude began from her childhood experiences while performing with her parents in gospel concerts. The sultry expressions in her vocals today are the result of studying music legends, performing, and the vocal coaching of Bili Redd Thedford. Her unique singing and writing styles are inspired by her parents and great songstresses as Minnie Riperton, Celine Dion and Gladys Knight, to name a few.



The songs featured on this album are her collaborative efforts with Producer Val Watson, Angela's mother - Sue Taylor, Darrell Vann, Angelika Bunz, and Angela's brother - David Taylor who is a featured vocalist in the duet "Wanna Dance", and guitar soloist in the song "For the Boys". Included is a Stevie Wonder classic, "Superstition", styled to display Angela's soulful energy. Angela's originals are written from personal experiences to give the listener a glimpse of her intimate musical journey. The song "I Believe" is a powerful testimony of her determination to leave her Missouri home in pursuit of her dreams as a recording and performing artist in San Diego. We all but guarantee listeners will be moved to dance or even shed a tear from Angela's soulful expressions and music.
