Singlethreat (2003 - 2007)

Singlethreat was formed in mid-2003 in the quiet working-class city of Cambridge, Ontario. The original lineup consisted of Don Macintosh on vocals, Kevin Farrell on guitar, James Carrigan on drums, and Derek Grint on bass. The Threat played many notable shows. One of those being Rock The Mill, which they were part of for the past four years.

Some of the great bands Singlethreat has had the privilege of sharing the stage with include The Salads, Helix, Kill Radio, No Warning, The Black Maria, The Miniatures, The Tea Party, Jersey, Cauterize, Idle Sons, the Cheap Suits, and the Cancer Bats among many more.

A great highlight for Singlethreat would be getting to play in the 97.7 HTZFM Rock Search in May and April of 2004. The band placed 2nd, right behind the Spicolis, out of thousands of bands that entered. The band won $5,000 worth of recording time at Metal Works, $1,000 cash, and $500 for Long and McQuade. Congrats to the Spicolis for placing first.

Another great highlight for the band would be the song Changemaker being played on 102.1 The Edges Dean Blundell Show. This happened in December of 2003, and Donny was interviewed on the show, as well.

The greatest highlight for Singlethreat would probably be throwing SinglethreatFest II. Months of planning and thousands of dollars went into planning this free, all age, all day event that happened on Saturday August 28th 2004. Hundreds of people attended, and tons of bands played. Thanks for everyone who volunteered, all the bands that played, and everyone that attended the event.
