I'm a (L-plate) programmer, hardware hacker and musician currently living around abouts South Wales. I have a particular interest in toys, video games and music - especially the combination of these three things. At the moment I'm spending most of my time developing a project under the title "The Cyclic Series" which are a series of softwares designed to approach electronic music composition with new methods. You can download the latest version of Cyclic for Mac OS X (intel recommended) from my website www.sinehackermedia.co.uk

I spent some time researching video game music, how it is composed, how it functions but more predominantly how it is experienced and engaged with by the player. This has had a large influence on the way I approach my music based soft and hardware projects.

I have played a couple of gigs using my laptop and various bits and bobs, I'm looking at setting up a band in the near future with some of my friends and musicians I have a lot of respect for :) I really enjoy improvisation, particularly involving live electronics and hardware hacks, I'm kinda getting into this myself at the moment (check the tracks above and vids below) I have been a rocker and a dj (and still am a bit of both!). I also created and promoted Newport's first dub-step night 'Bonus Level Bass' which brought some interesting names to Wales last year.

some of my fav music (check them out!): Susuma Yokota, Kangding Ray, OOIOO, Merz Bow, Shuttle 358, Kplecraft, Leafcutter John, Hrvatski, Ryoji Ikeda

some of my fav games: Zelda, Super Mario World, Elektroplankton, Sid Meirs 'Pirates!', Eldar Scrolls IV 'Oblivion', Fallout 3, Loco-Roco and PATAPON!!

my fav toys (!) - Yamaha PSS-790, Yamaha VSS-200, Speak and Spell, the original Dot Matrix Gameboy!!, the Buddha Machine, the Music From Outer Space Weird Sound Generator, and last but not least the iPhone and iPod touch
