Simaku

Simaku is a famous and beloved singer from Albania. As a teen she represented Albanian culture, singing folklore on national television and radio and performing to international audiences.



Simaku won many competitions and awards, worked with many well-known composers and musicians, forayed into modern pop and created the first music videos in her country.



Simaku has crafted a modern world music album that is rooted in exotic, mysterious, undiscovered eastern-European folklore.



Simaku’s music is part archive, part futurism. Ancient folklore brought to life through angelic melodies in exotic, contemporary arrangements. Her voice, at times explosive, melancholy, even mind expanding, transcends the ages and musical landscapes, bringing the sounds of Iliria to the listening world.
