Silvastone is a producer songwriter and D.J. coming from South London. He has been practicing his arts for 8 and a half years now. Producing for a number of up and coming acts. His musical history comes from Hip Hop, Reggae and R&B, which his older brothers introduced him to at an early age. His dad introduced him to Classical and Jazz music. He also became influenced by Hi Life music because of his mothers home land of Ghana. At the age of 5, he began to teach himself to play the keyboard and showed a keen interest in music. At the age of 11 he went to live in Sierra Leone with his dad for 5 years, this was where he gained his blessing to create music. His passion for the art form grew. His dad owned a piano in the house which he would play everyday. At school, Silvastones talent was spotted by his head mistress, who would let him skip class just to play the keyboard in school.

After a few years, he returned to London to finish his education and pursue his music career. He began to teach himself to sequence on Cakewalk for some years until he discovered Cubase and the rest as they say. is history. He later became the keyboardist and musical director in his church. This helped his keyboard skills and allowed him to learn how to find harmonies and play songs by ear. He also started to DJ in local clubs and house parties in the early day of his production which helped him to develop his music production. The DJ-ing was a tool for Silvastone to gauge the crowd reaction and understand what the people want to hear.

In 2003, he began to work with 2wicked Records headed by Ex-Arsenal star Kevin Campbell, where he produced for an artist on the label called Raddo. This was his first break at working with a label so he took this opportunity and began to make a name for himself.

In 2005 Silvastone began to tour overseas with Emmanuel Jal doing shows such as The African Hip Hop summit and the MTV EMAs. He has since started his own radio show on InvincibleMag.com Radio where he hosts his own weekly show - GDM Time (Tuesdays 3pm-5pm GMT).
