Hi! I'm "SILENT" Sara! Thank you for popping by! :)
Until 16th/11/06 I was a radio-presenter on Q.T. Radio, where I played & interviewed, for 18 months, lots of great un-signed bands, from all over the world!I gave the first ever air-play to Kristyna Myles; (whose talent I first noticed when she was singing on Market St. & who has since played with Chris De Burgh, in front of 9, 000 people at several gigs); Doug Walker, Nomad Jones, Carlis Star, Ryna, Our Fold, The Children (now Twisted Wheel) and many more! Some of the other bands I have featured have, since being played on my show, been i'viewed on Radio 1, played on MTV Europe, BBC1 and have supported acts such as Nickelback & The Deftones!I have played and interviewed the best new bands from all over world too! Think of The Sounds (gave 'em their first ever UK air-play), missFlag, Vauxhall, The Tender Box, Shout Out Louds, Rico, as well as home-grown talent such as UXL, The NightJars, bauer, Tom Kerswill, For Tomorrows (now known as the Virgin Marys), The Clerks, The Star Fighter Pilot, The Band With No Name, HKB FiNN, Bad Habits, Snowfight in the City Centre, Obedient Bone & Hips Like Cinderella! And that's just some of 'em!
The late Dike Omeje, Julian Daniel and Stan Chow are just some of the poets and artists who've graced me with their presence too!
In 2006, I was i'viewed by BBC Asian Network & before that I was interviewed by the late & great Anthony Wilson in the TV doc. "Losing It"!
Please cross your fingers that I make it onto TV, 'cos I tell you baby I'll be one heck of a great presenter!
Oh yeah!
Thank you! (You can read my reviews now:)
"Just had a listen to the show featuring us. Thanks so much for your support of us and the album on the show. Was totally blown away!!!!!! It really means heaps to us! And I think you'd said you were having a bit of an off day when you did the show, but if that's what you manage on an off day the show must be incredible on a good day 'cos I thought it sounded amazing anyway. So thanks again and hope you have a good week!"- Dave - Vauxhall (www.vauxhall.co.nz)
"Hi Sara
Roseann here from the Doghouse in Glasgow, I work in the crazy world of Rico. We all (live band included) listened to your show the other night . It was great, fun and brilliant choice of tracks. Thank You very much for your interest and support in the Rico vibe. Rico will drop you a line. Let us know if you're ever in our part of the world , could catch a beer.
Cheers Roseann" (www.myspace.com/ricosanctuary)
