After writing 40 songs as a band by age 18, we wonder when we'll ever stop writing them. After playing them at First Avenue, on the Capitol steps of St. Paul, on Fox9, and getting them on 30 college radio stations, we feel on the verge of crossing the threshold into the international stage. The singer, Evan Bakker, has written 40 songs of his own, giving the band a collective amount of 80 songs at their disposal. And they all sound different. No re-hasing of old tricks. If you want a catalog of rock music, you need only to go through our stuff to pull out strong songs in every category. Now, we've recorded our fourth album, and its fresh sound will surely take us somewhere we've never been. The album, called Primary (Spring 2011), has all the elements of a great band. It's catchy, it's unique, it's powerful, it seamlessly connects various genres of rock and pop. Our last three albums were recorded at the prestigious Flowers Studio in Uptown Minneapolis, which has also hosted bands such as Motion City Soundtrack and Metro Station. You'll hear strands of everything from punk to experimental to shoe gaze to indie: it's all about what works for the song. We strive to make passionate, intelligent music that lingers with you – body, mind and soul. We're a trio, but the audience is an indispensable fourth instrument in every performance: your dancing, clapping, singing, and screaming takes it to the next level.
