Sick Sense Cru, hailing from North-West London, started out in 2003 and is now classified as one of the finest 'Grime' crew to emerge from those ends.
They consist of six MCs and three deejays, which were all in different crews at the time and were helped by different grime crews from northwest, who they also judge as their influences. Although the crew also have their 'youngers' and members coming and going, the most prominent crew members are:
O.G, Smasher, Chynie, Chinx-Star, Maddog, Livewire, Racula, D-tox, DJ Wallace, DJ Sniper & DJ Focus.
Since their formation, they have been on regular radio spots, amongst others: Freeze FM, Laylow FM, Unique FM, Frontline FM, Grime FM, Blaze Live FM and Griddlockfm.com.
In October 2003, 'Big Moneyz Ent.' released our first single 'Yo Blud' which also featured a video on heavy rotation on Channel U. For the following year they toured at the 'Glasshouse, Area, Yeung city bar, Corks wine bar, Yacht club, Leaping bar, Bar 217, Dreams, Club Mission, Ealing Boulevard Community Centres, Leisure centres and various charity events. After that it's back to the studio and 2005 sees them delivering track after track:
'Furious' featured by Artilla and SLK, released by Artilla
'Warworld' released by Big Moneys
'They should know' produced and released by Beezwax Productions
The latter reached number three in Rewind Magazine's 'Top Ten Garage chart'. 'They should know' e.p. with the eastwood track 'u get 24' caused a big stir in the grime underground scene in 2005/2006 and was one of the hottest grime tracks/e.p.'s out then.
The group was happy with this achievement and is looking to succeed more.
In 2006 also, 'Beef Starts', their banging collaboration with producer Sarantis was playlisted and rinsed by DJ Q on BBC 1 XTRA ! It also made it into his BEST OF 2006 MIX !
Watch out for the Mix CD/ Album 'Season Of The Sickness Vol.1' and future 12 inches produced by Marz Productions, Beezwax Productions and other producers Sick Sense are working with.
