Being born and bred in the UK has not stopped Shveta from reaching deep in to her Indian roots. Since the age of 5, her father (Ashok Vij) has taught her Indian classical music, and this has influenced her unique way of combining a classical sound with a contemporary one.

Her first influx of recognition on a wider scale came from her feature with Tigerstyle on a Dharmik album, Shaheedi 400 - 'Saint Solider' with the song Mukhon Satnaam, which is set to re-release in India in late 2008.

In October 2006, Shveta sung live on stage to the nation as part of a unique live performance by Tigerstyle at the BBC Electric Proms, alongside other artists including Gunjan, Raghav, Des-C, The Dhol Foundation, Sharifa Shi and many more.

Other releases include a track on Blitzkriegs new album entitled "Spell On Me", which has been broadcasted on BBC Radio One and the BBC Asian Network, as well as another feature on the album 'Shaheedi - Panj'.

Shveta is also featured on Tigerstyle's highly anticipated album "Mystics, Martyrs & Maharajas", out on Nachural Records, as well as DBoy's "Playback" out on VIP Records.

As well as having many features on several albums, Shveta has also had the opportunity to feature in a Glaswegian theatre production of Heer Ranjha, set to be performed during late 2008.
