Shot By Jack has been known to show charisma and soul into a blend of punk rock that has been unknown to them threw their influences growing up. A mixture of melody, skate punk, ska, metal, hardcore, reggae are all gendres and styles that can be found in a variety of influences you find in SBJ.
Shot By Jack hails from a small 12' x 12' basement room in the township of Hull Quebec. Started in January 2008, some guys got annoyed with seing nothing but hardcore invading their local scene and decided to get together and do something about it. 2008 turned into a great year for SBJ playing over 20 shows in Quebec and Ontario. January 2009 saw us release our first Demo ''Throw Out the Vodka''
recorded at In The Crowd in Hull Qc.
Since then, SBJ has been part 2 consecutive editions of Montebello's Rockfest in 2010 & 2011 sharing the bill with bands such as NoFx, the Descendants, Pennywise, The Planet Smashers, The Sainte-Catherines, A Whilhelm's Scream, Anti-Flag, The Misfits. They've explored more city's scattered all over Quebec & some parts of ontario sharing other venues with bands such as This Is A Standof, The Corporation, Reset & Winslow as well tons of awsome up& coming local bands!! The years that followed where one whole big Rippin Party!
2011 has seen them dive head first back into In the Crowd studio to record their first yet to be named full album. Most of the summer of 2011 has been more like hibernation with only the exception of Montebello's big Festival. A full effort of sweat, drugs & beers has been given in order to release it early 2012.
