The Uk's Hottest unsigned sensation hailing out of London Wembley Uk. Only been in the Uk Hip Hop scene from September 2010 and has already started to build a buzz for himself Nationwide, despite doing everything independently. Being the last Artist to work with the likes of K Koke before his deal with Jay-z Rocnation and the first person out of his circle to work with Warner Music/679 new signee Benny Banks, alerted crowds to the Artist's outstanding potential and unique ability.
Having spent most of his childhood days in Kilburn (Northwest London), Shortz1 previously known as Shortz Ghazi was a very troublesome young teenager. He attendted St Augustines Primary & Secondary School in the heart of the notorious South Kilburn where the crime rate was extremely high. Being as he was Shortz1 lost all love for school at an early age and failed to complete the full amount of academic years, often branded by old school friends as mr trouble. Despite a very hard, struggling upbringing Shortz1 always had a very strong love for Music, and always thrived on the thought of being a recording artist. From the age of 12 he began to write his own songs, and as he grew in age his love, talent and potential grew with him.
Due to life circumstances Shortz1 again got sidetracked from the Music Industry and began to live a life of crime. But in 2010 he decided to get back into Music and try and make a better life legally and dropped his first official net video on youtube channel Uk Overstood remixing Tupacs past track "Picture me rolling" which got his name circulating in his borough very rapidly. After seeing the feedback from his audience Shortz1 stepped it up a gear dropping net video's very regulary on Uk overstood, and promoting them on other sites such as Grimedaily, Spiff Tv and We Going In, to boost awareness of his name. Being a solo artist Shortz1 decided to team up with a few other rappers firstly dropping a track called Blaze Dem with Benny Banks which even up until today is branded a Northwest anthem. This track was also recognised by Charlie Sloth of Bbc 1xtra and playlisted on his show as well as Choice Fm's Dj Quincy and many pirate stations nationwide. By now Shortz1 had an audience recognising his unique musical talent and started to take things much more seriously than before. Apart from working with Benny Banks, Shortz1 has worked with Rocnation new signee K Koke, Uk Reggae sensation Gappy Ranks, Benny Bizzie and many more rising artist from the Uk, and is hoping to branch out worldwide very soon. Being so new to the uk underground scene Shortz1 has not got millions of views on youtube but when you look at what he has done totally by himself, in less than a year distance between his debut net video and me writing this you have to take your hat off to the artist.
He has a brand called Gtn which is his new Record label and Entertainment Business which he has very passionate plans to take to the highest level possible, also Gtn clothing which Shortz1 had from the start of his musical career.
On the 26th of March 2011 Shortz1 decided to drop his debut Mixtape namely "The Ghazi Supremacy" which he sold over 9k copies and the number is raising by day (Now available for Free Download). The Cd has also been requested by fans worldwide such as the Usa, Austrailia and Canada aswell as being the talk of his borough for months. With bangers like Blaze dem with Benny Banks, Born sufferer with K Koke and Hustle Fast, Shortz1 is begining to build an even bigger audience for his music and looks destind for stardom. However he has said he wants to make at least 2 - 3 Mixtapes before he drops his first official single and album. His exact words was "I am in no rush to drop my first single and album, why should i be. You only get one or two chances at launching so i want to take my time and do it to perfection"
