Short-Tay

Short-tay was born Kevin Lamonta Robinson in a small town called Scotland Neck, North Carolina. Music has always been a major element of entertainment for Short-tay. Coming up listening to all sorts of music, Short-tay was always inspired to rap. Running around the house making up his own songs was only a joke. Everything that he uttered was a freestyle. He did not know about writing rhymes. In the Spring of 1998, Short-tay began to write raps. He was only 13 with a passion to break into the music industry and change the game. His first recordings were done with little radios. His older cousin had inspired him by motivating him to become deep into the music. They recorded together for a short period of time before Short-tay's cousin lack of interest was revealed. Short-tay kept recording because he felt a sense of belonging in music.



Making beats with pans, pots and spoons only drove him to using instrumental tracks. This gave him a more realist feel to his music. I started making beats because I did not want to depend on other producers for beats. Short-tay is a rapper and producer who can give you any type of music. He once said; Versatility is an important factor to one's success. Being a chameleon in this music industry only results to longevity. Short-tay has a partner by the name of Chrisstyles. He is also from Scotland Neck, NC. They performed at various venues throughout their underground careers. Head Banga Entertainment is the label that is ran by both Chrisstyles and Short-tay. They released several albums that only got their feet wet. Short-tay currently resides in Washington D.C where he also has a reputation for making beats and recording for fellow artists. I plan to change the game because I have a lot to bring to the table. Watch out for me, Im coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
