shitamachi-kyoudai is an artist from Japan.

Just transcribe it in Japanese"下町兄弟"

"Shitamachi" means the area of the eastside in Tokyo called EDO;Pls. remenber it's Real Tokyo!! If you have some opportunity to visit to Tokyo.Just ask somebody about Shitamachi

And "Kyoudai" means the brothers!! same bloods

Shitamachi-Kyoudai is the rap artist from Tokyo,Japan sicnce 1992.

I=BANANA ICE(Motomy Kudo) who the leader of the group produces all of the sounds ,songwrite and performing rap.

I have started about the performed rap from 1983.

"The Message" and Mele Mel for Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five is one of the influences in my rap and the beginning of songwriting my own rhyme.

For the first time,it was in 1989 ,my rhyme's work won wide recognition by TV program for the Children's hour.

At that time I have performed with the name of "Bananavender and the Jungle Five" around the club in Tokyo.

And I made my CD debut as "Bananavenders" from the domestic major label"TEICHIKU" in 1989.

The reason why the name of BANANA ICE; because one of them said "that man is like a banana vender on the street",when I was performing the rap at the first time in front of the audience at the club LIVE INN.

In 1992 I have organized the own label SHIBAURA RECORDS and re-started as Shitamachi-Kyoudai.

At the same time,I make the collaboration with a lot of artists; not only hip hop or R&Bo or pops,but also jazz,classic,folk,Hawaiian etc,and produces the sounds for the varous domestic artists now.



In 1995,I released the 2 singles"Jutai""Monja vs. Okonomiyaki" with Yo!suke Ito from the major label"Warner Musc Japan"

And in 1996 also from PONY CANYON,they release the hit single"Mimoza no Sakukoro".the song was created a great sensation from the club "LAB-Z remix " in Fukuoka.

And in 1997 I released the hit single"War War!Stop It" for the theme song of "Beast Wars" as the TV program.and so on

Shitamachi-Kyoudai is not only CD and live,but you can hear my rappin' on TV,Movie,Cartoon,Game,Play or Drama etc,.

In 2000.2005 I was promoted to actor rappin' as Funky Kong on the famous TV program"Donkey Kong"and as also DJ Ham on the movie "Tottoko Ham Tarou"

In 2005 I have joined with art performing"Papa-Tarahumara"as a rap performer of the story teller"Heart Of Gold"tour.

In 2007 I have appeared on the cinema "Sayonara No Seikyusho" as a drumer of the band.

Now Shitamachi-Kyoudai is recording for the new album.Coming Soon!!!
