THE SHIRLEY STORY. Said two urban grrrlz to each other: Hey, I like your music. Wouldn't it be cool to do what I do + what you do 2gether? They listened to one of Mel's songs. L said the verse was great but the chorus sucked. So she wrote another one, somewhere in between the sounds of Magnapop, Nirvana and blablabla. The song was about love, sex and good vibrators - no: vibrations. They played it to Steppo who's into kickin chixx and tiger coloured drums. The three of them went into a dark room and didn't come out til they had deaf ears and a bunch of trash rock hits. Shirley Holmes was born. She had six arms, six legs and three brains unusually arranged with the two grrrlz up front on guitar, bass and mics and the wild Hengst smashing up his drums in the back. Check it out!
