Shiloh Biography



Having always been involved in the music industry from a tentative age and having toured, supported and performed with some of the music industries biggest and legendary names such as Angie Brown, Soul II Soul Movements vocalists, Brandon Block, Dave Pearce, Imagination, and a fan of Luther Van Dross it was only a matter of time before he actually started concentrating on his own Solo career as a song writer, producer and vocalist. With his first solo production “Passion Touch” getting huge recognition from the Likes of Made in London (GUT), Patrick Haganaar (MoS), Timmy Vegas (Deffected) and resident Hed Kandi DJs he has come up with a fresh, innovative and soulfully uplifting funky track that has watch this space written all over it!!



As with most people in our industry the musical destiny is a genetic inheritance and Shiloh’ family background is no different. His mum a singer and song writer and actress. His dad has toured with his own outfit “Century Steel Band “ who have in the last 23 years toured throughout Europe, Africa and the Caribbean.



Shiloh has come a long way since the dawn of his career dancing for “Chance Has Arisen Lets Work At It” (CHALWAI) a Midlands Dance Theatre Academy at the tender age of 18. After his graduation he took up choreography in and around the Midlands including Coventry’ very own Belgrade Theatre. Having instructed the likes of Robin Lazells (Ballet Rhombre), Ian Davis (Starlight Express). Working with Trevor Hodge, and Tony Reid from CATS and Starlight Express.



However, Shiloh’ career took a complete U turn when he was approached to sing backing vocals for Neh Neh Cherry in 95 on her “Home Brew” album. Watching and learning from the very best in the industry at that time he was inspired to concentrate on his own skills as a vocalist and song writer.



In 1996 Shiloh was Sang Backing vocals for the legendary Jimmy Ruffin, for those of you that don’t know is famous for the classic Soulful tune “What Comes of a Broken Hearted” Jimmy’ older brother of David Ruffin one of the lead singers for the Temptations fine credentials for someone still in the infancy of their career. In addition co-writing Hip Hop hit “Message” With “Credit to the Nation” signed to EMI and was a smash on the HIP HOP scene.



Shiloh’ vocal career in 1997 took another fortuitous turn when he started singing Backing vocals with legends and industry pioneers’ The Soul II Soul Movement vocalists. In addition working with the most exellent Angie Brown, Angie’s biggest hit to date was in 1992, with a deliciously infectious tune called "I’m Gonna Get You" which reached Number 3 in the UK charts in October 1992. Her vocals featured heavily on the track, which was created by 3 young DJ’s/remixers from Stratford called Bizarre Inc. Angie and his extreemly talented sister Sofia Wilks worked closely with Shiloh on the song “freedom will reign” which was a huge Hit in South Africa in 1994.



Shiloh has had many working relationships throughout his long career including HQ. HQ is run by Stevie Paul and Darren Bazzoni Producers for Patti Low. Patti who had the hit "Made in Two minutes". HQ are also remounted for their remixes for Sugar Babes, Miss Dynamite and London Records.



In 2002 Shiloh co produced his first solo single “Can you Feel It” with HQ and was released by Arrival Records. “Can You Feel It” was a huge hit of its time and was the DJs choice of floor filler in The MED and Miami at that time. Remixed by HQ and released on Arrival records/Films. The crowd’s reaction was phenomenal and was dropped all over the White Isles by the likes of Roger Sanchez who dropped it on his live radio broadcast form the legendary Cafe Mambo. The support and recognition never stopped there with the likes of David Morales, Smokin Joe, Dave Pearce, Brandon Block and Edie Ibiza. “Can You Feel It” was broadcasted on numerous radio stations including Galaxy, Ibiza Radio, and Kiss FM. “Can You Feel It” also gave Shiloh his 1st opportunity to debut on MTV. The track was recorded live by MTV at Eden for their MED tour.



Shiloh also hosted the Xenons Singers Show on Piccadilly in London. Singing backing Vocals for Kool from Kool and the gang. Micha Paris, Angie Stone, Jocelyn Brown, Jimmy Ruffin and many more.



During the Dawn of “Can You Feel It” in 1999 he worked with 7p.m Management who were responsible for Sasha & Shiva. The original version of “Can you feel it” was first recognised by 7pm as well as M&G Records which lead to Shiloh working with; Adrian Sherwood, Skip McDonald of Sugar Hill Gang and Little Axe, Keith Leblanc. Kieth one of the best drummers in the world has work with Seal and The Rolling Stones. Doug Win Bush, Will Calhoon of Living Colour.

They all worked on aspects of his songs including "Questions" and "Passion Touch".



Shilohs classic chill out track “The Gift” features on the Cafe del mar 25th anniversary(2005) album "The Gift" was voted onto the album by Café del mar Fans. “The Gift” was written by Shiloh

& Spice, co-produced with Devon Montique and Dan Bowater. Besides Shiloh’ vocal, writing and Dancing skills. He also has the magical ability to play a number of musical instruments and if it’s a instrument he has never had a go with before it won’t be long before he masters it. This is very apparent in his huge chill out track “The Gift”, where he performed most of the instruments for the track. The Gift” was played worldwide at most Café del mar venues as well as Chill out events in Japan, German, France, Switzerland and Big Chill in the UK. Played By Eddie Ibiza and Laura B.



With already awesome reactions to those few that have received “Passion Touch” Co Produced by Shiloh, ESP and Bassman Mooty. It’s surely only a matter of time before UK, European and US labels start chomping at the bit to get hold of this feel good electro funky tune for official release. Already receiving booking request for his live performance of “Passion Touch” and “Can You Feel It” its time to see how the clubbers react to his presents, energy, powerful and silky vocals on stage.
