Shawna Brinsfield (formerly McMonigle) grew up as a suburban girl, a daughter to musical parents, she started singing in the church. Her musical experience began at age 14 when she first sung a solo in a service.but the musical family heritage provided a background foundation that went beyond the church, into various styles she came to love and learn. Shawna has a pure-toned, soulful sound to her voice, and has performed in various situations, including but not limited to Piano Bars, Musicals, a Jazz Variety Show,a traveling College Jazz Vocal Ensemble, Holiday/Sunday Church Services, Memorial services, Weddings, Church Retreats, a Music Business Showcase, Back Ground Vocals, Recitals, and Retirement Homes. She has coached in the studio setting,and taught voice privately.
Shawna is also a songwriter with an influence similar to Sarah McLachlan, Nichole Nordeman, mixed with the soul of Jazz and Blues.
Professionally Trained in various Commercial Vocal Styles including:
Jazz, Rock, Pop, Country, R&B/Old Soul/Blues, Gospel/CCM.
