DEAD J

Dead J (aka Shao Yanpeng), beijing based minimalist/dub techno producer currently living in Beijing, China. He is one of the key players of the new generation of Chinese electronic music. His music is deviated from the traditional Minimalism, with dreamy melodies and a multiplicity of sound fragments. His 2nd album Mental Magic was awarded The Best Electronic Album in 2006 by The Chinese Music Media Award.
At the same time,he has also composed for theatre&movie projects .
