From as far back as I can remember music has always saved me. Something about the feeling of music going right to the very core of you. Growing up in LA and the OC California along side Sugar Ray ,Rage Against the Machine, Gwen Steffani,Sublime,Hed PE, and Korn. I had no choice but to dive right in at a very early age! Music is my second nature my hide away. My release. My courage . My fear. It is the healthiest form of expression on this planet . It will always amaze me that certain songs can bring you to tears in an instant. Others can make you feel as though you were flying through the heavens. What is it about music that no matter where you are in the world it touches you. No matter if you can understand the language or if you have even heard the song before. It is a scientific fact that certain frequencies resonate with the human body and more importantly their spirit. Did you know that the human voice has even order harmonics it carries the most harmonics out of any instrument. I think back to my ancestors the Algonquin indians and how they had their shamain heal the sick with sacred ritual and song. Always song. In every culture dating back thousands of years music was used as medicine. Even as recent as the black plague there was actually a doctor that prescribed classical music to his patients not a dose of pills or potion. I have such a strong relationship with song and sound therapy. Now, most people call on a therapist to relive some sort of pain. Be it emotionally linked due to stress, ,environment, diet or trama. Scientifically pain is only felt in the brain. The brain then passes on that ''messsage'' to a particular place or places in the body. If we could regulate the way our brain deals with emotional reactions by understanding the root of the ''miscomunication'' within ourselves and our central nervous system. Then isnt it possible to be healed on just self knowledge and intention alone? I mean after all it's just regulating a healthy energy flow within each individuals wonderfully unique body through singing perhaps? Or sounds?? Well that is what I have experienced and believe! SOME INTERESTING BITS ABOUT THE WAY WE THINK! Dr. Bruce Lipton has some amazing work that has proven Newtonian physics wrong with regards to the human body which has scientists in awe as we are all products of our invironment. Biology is perception. We can change anything! It's liberating! From magic to more magic. There is not a single human being on this planet that is not moved by song.
