Welcome to the third chapter. The next level in a game called SHAMEBOY.
Electro has never been so popular as today, but it would seem too easy
to release another cheap floorfiller. Electro isn't all about beats,
that wouldn't be stylish at all.
No. Shameboy's third album is a counterbalance to quick success. Every
track has its own fine melody, chords, harmony. And atmosphere. Every track has been lived
through.
808 State Of Mind is a warm
but fancy
record. And multifunctional
as well. You can sit back, relax and listen to the music in your car,
lounge and bedroom. And on top of it, it works great on the dancefloor.
The title refers to the Roland
TR-808 Rhythm Composer.
Shameboy has always been a fan of this revolutionary drum machine, but
its sound never left its mark on their music. Now, the Transistor
Rhythm 808 is the glue holding the album together. There's a
characteristic 808 sound in every track. 808 is Shameboy's state of mind
while making this record.
This new album comes with a new
line-up.
After six years of active duty Jimmy Dewit chooses to reshuffle his
daily routine. Dewit is certain to leave without the slightest trace of
disharmony, moreover he's pretty sure about "808 State Of Mind" being a
far-out album. Exit Jimmy Dewit, enter the new. Dominik Friede will strengthen
Luuk Cox in Shameboy, and he's no stranger to the band.
Psychedelic, the last track on the first Shameboy album, was already
written by Cox/Friede.
808 State Of Mind is now out on iTunes and Beatport.
Summer is over, but Shameboy has a solution.
Their new single can't stand the sunshine.
It must be kept away from heat, sparks, and flame.
It requires appropriate clothing.
And it should remain closed to prevent leakage.
Each contact can have serious consequences.
It may cause severe burns to eyes, skin, and all body tissue.
But most of the time, Battery
Acid is an energy boost.
Certainly on the dancefloor.
Recharge after use.
Battery Acid is taken from Shameboy's
album 808 State of Mind.
The track has proven its strength during the summerfestivals.

SHAMEBOY
(°2004) has
its own, unique sound. Hard on the outside, soft on the inside. Sounds
like electro, with the same vibe as rock. Based on tight beats, with
lots of soul. And interspersed with smooth melodies as body-moving as
funk.
It started with one track, an instant floorfiller. 'Rechoque' landed on
the turntables of Tiga and Felix da Housecat. After two albums they
have played at all big clubs and festivals in the Benelux, including
Rock Werchter, Pukkelpop and Dour Festival.
Their third studio album '808 State Of Mind' is now out.
