Shadows of Orpheus

Shadows of Orpheus are a Metal band based in Stourbridge in the West Midlands, based Halfway between Wolverhampton and Birmingham. The line-up comprises of musicians from all walks of life.



We like to think our music makes people feel good at the same time as them having a good time. Our influences are mainly from Metal but the musicians within the band have influences from all genres.



We have performed with many acts ranging from a Major band called MENDEED, to local heroes DEMENTIA, SPEED THEORY, SLIPNOT, INRUIN and DEADWEIGHT.



After an 8 month break finding a new drummer, Shadows of Orpheus are back and are getting back on track for global domination.

History:



Shadows Of Orpheus started around September '05, with Paul and Carl establishing their 'musicianship' together.



By luck, Paul's friend Ben happened to be asking around if anyone needed a guitarist.



After auditioning Ben, the trio decided they needed a singer. The first hopeful, Tom, was snapped up as bassist, and eventually Vaughan was enlisted for vocal duties around December '05'



And so 'Shadows of Orpheus' was born.



Only in early 2008 did they find some of the members of the line-up unfortunately needed to change and as a result Ben left for University and Carl also departed. Enter Nick.



Nick is the newest member of the band and we are currently working our way towards re-building our fanbase and songs as well as a new but original look and sound to the metal genre.
