ABOUT ME . . .
Ryan Morgan a.k.a Stee-lo was born on July 14 in Orlando, FL. Growing up with dreams like most young men in the world, Ryan wanted to play ball, never knowing that his true love would be in entertainment. Like most entertainers, Stee-lo’s spark of interest in music most likely started in church. He remembers watching his grandmother play the piano in church and then sneaking inside the church to play on the instruments, which indeed most likely sparked his interest. Before Stee-lo began his journey into music dance took place first. Around the age of 13 living and visiting his father in St. Mountain, GA, Stee-lo picked up a style of dance known as popping, which involves liquid like movement, shocking hits, Egyptian like hand movements and much more! As his love and abilities grew in dance, his love for music awakened. At the age of 16, Stee-lo received an upgrade in a yamaha keyboard for Christmas; never trained, Stee-lo learned how to play the piano by ear and the launching of him being a producer came into affect. At the age of 18, Stee-lo really buckled down on his dancing and began taking hip hop choreography classes from a talented choreographer by the name DeMario Henry where a friendship came about and them starting a dance company called "VYB", which is shortly abbreviated for Voice Your Body. Also at the age of 18, Stee-lo picked up another style of dance that most know as breakdancing or what he calls "b-boyin". At the age of 19, Stee-lo had his first taste of the entertainment side of dancing landing a role as Frankinstein in a Halloween Show called "Fiends" at Busch Gardens, a theme park in Tampa, FL, later on getting the opportunity to have one of the lead roles as an actor/singer in one of Busch’s top shows called "Katonga" as a young story teller! Also in that show he was cast as a dancer doing stunts and tumbling! At the age of 20 Stee-lo was cast by a French Company called "D.I.C.E. Productions" in a hip hop show called "The MPC Stomp Show" in Germany, at another theme park called Movie Park Germany. While his stay in Germany Stee-lo also worked as a dancer in Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards and also in a Halloween Musical cast as a "warewolf". After moving back to the states Stee-lo landed a job as a choreographer/back up singer with latin pop artist Babyboy.
Stee-lo believes that you can do anything your heart desires, but in order to do so he says "don’t talk about, just do it already". With that determination and desire he taught himself how to play th guitar. Now, Stee-lo plays the guitar, piano and drums. Passionate is probably the best word that can describe Stee-lo when it comes to music. Talk about an addiction.and music being his medication, having numerous sleepless nights and sacrifices made all to follow a love for somethinga dream!
2008, was the year the group Elemental Broadcast was formed, and Stee-lo feels that everything basically fell into place. The group started off with three friends, (Stee-lo himself and B.J. Vega), and later on the group merged with an individual named Kelvin a.k.a. 1Hunit. Who became the third member of the group. That’s when he felt that the group was complete. Stee-lo feels that being humble is the way to go, but he has a lot of confidence in his group and feels that they have the whole package; he says, "what more can you ask for, we’re a group that can produce on an industry level, we play instruments live, write our own lyrics, we dance, we’re bilingual, and we got the look". Stee-lo feels that what really got the "mojo" going or better yet to say the "magic" going is working with a unique individual named Mydo, one of Tampa’s most talented producer/engineer, and linking up with now their manager Andre Huggins a.k.a Drizm. From now until the end Stee-lo feels that Elemental Broadcast will be a group that will never be forgotten!
