Shooting an Arrow From the Gokstad Ship! - Stephen Fox - UCD School of Archaeology - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jun 14, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
This was filmed during my summer job at the Lofotr Viking Museum, Borg, Norway. We sailed a replica of the Gokstad Ship from the Lofoten Islands, to Andenes to deliver one of our stallion Icelandic horses. The object was to test the temperament of the horse, (who ended up being the most relaxed of everyone on board). The entire trip took 14 hours there and roughly 14 back, but once we got all the heavy work done and the wind was behind the sail, I had time to make and shoot an arrow, with the first bow I made since I arrived. I hope you enjoy the video, please remember to watch it in HD!!

The music is "Dark Moon High Tide" by the Afro Celt Sound System, from the Gangs of New York Sound Track.
