Sensuous Enemy is a female fronted darkwave electronic band that blends driving drum sequences and hard techno and EBM synth lines, combines powerful velvety vocals with the use of orchestral strings, piano, and vocal harmonies, and uses live electric rhythm guitar and drums. SE members include JAI [vocals/lyrics/piano] John Freriks [programming/guitars], Chris Wenzel [Live vdrums], Bob Hensely [keyboards], & Katja Lunde [synthesizers].

SE has played great shows with infamous groups like Covenant, Assemblage 23, Imperative Reaction, Combichrist, Rotersand, Android Lust, Razed in Black, Ego LIkeness, Iris, Stromkern, The Azoic, C/A/T, I:Scintilla, The Dark Clan, Cruciform Injection, The Gothsicles, Ctrlshft, Endif, Caustic, Bella Morte, XuberX, Heliosphere, Null Device, and many others!
They have also played in numerous Electronic Music Festivals like Reverence 2005 - 2009, Madison Electronic Music Festival,and Sound n Fury I and II in Wisconsin, WTII Showcases in Chicago, Elektrofest in Cleveland, OH and much more.
SE completed their full length CD "Fragments" in 2008 recorded and produced by Wade Alin of The Atomica Project/Christ Analogue in Chicago, IL and was chosen as one of the Top 10 CD's of 2008 and "Over" as one of the Top 10 Songs of 2008 in the December Isthmus newspaper. "Fragments" also went on to win Best Electronic Album of the Year and Best Electronic Song of the Year with "Over" at the 2009 Madison Area Music Awards.
In 2006 SE released their seven song E.P. "Deadly Sins" and won Best Electronic Album of the Year and Best Electronic Artist at the 2007 Madison Area Music Awards.
