22 year-old singer-songwriter Senja Sargeant has been writing and performing her own material for just under a year, and already her talent is making waves on the local music scene in Montreal where she lives. Sargeant, whose electrifying voice is reminiscent of Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin, has been singing for many years and is now coming into her own through her soulful compositions. She is currently putting together a band (Senja also accompanies herself on the acoustic guitar) and will produce a fully-arranged recording soon.
