One of Sleeping Giant's original founders, Blest radiates sincerity both as an artist and an individual. From his first appearances at open mics and underground parties to the clubs and large scale venues he's become accustomed to, it is obvious to any listener that this is a man who is serious about his craft. Believing firmly in the power of music and words to bring about change, Blest never loses sight of the exuberance and swagger at the heart of hip-hop. From his time as a creative director and on-air personality for one of San Diego's last radio outlets for true hip-hop and soul music to his role in the formation of Sleeping Giant Music, Blest has been bringing his message of empowerment and unity to one individual at a time. His body of work, including singles with San Diego's Sound Providers and Sweden's Last Days of Disco, as well as Self Sounds' "Sounds From Within" album has been connecting with listeners worldwide.
