SELF HELD HOSTAGE

SHH!The name Self Held Hostage came to me in 2000 as a diagnosis for all my problems and achievements. Problems certainly outweighed the positives, however it is the down times most responsible for the answers I needed to keep living life. Rock n' Roll music is a much needed therapy in the chaos of living. There is so much going on at all times and an internal dilemma of questions and emotions are at constant collision.

Self Held Hostage became official as a band in the fall of 2003. Through the lineup changes and decadent practice sessions the band now stands whole with its current four members. Being yourself and bringing your own character and influence, is the fuel that feeds Self Held Hostage. Each member comes together fronting their own influence and creativity, thus a band of four brothers dedicated to making as much music as possible for several years to come.



Be it hell or high water, or both. Being a part of something like this has truly given meaning to what we have each waited for. This is an opportunity for us to give back and contribute to music. It's all about creation and expression with the ego left rotting in the trash, with no bubble gum-pop-punk-Pepsi commercial banner polluting the air with its foul brattish followers thirsty for whatever sells.
