Just outside the city of Detroit, in a small town by the name of Inkster, Craig T. Erquhart emerged. In these crime-confined streets he learned early on that using his inherited passion for music would be the key to a future foreseen by his father. Known to friends and fans as SeeJai, Craig knew exactly what he wanted to do. As with many of those with such vocal talents, it all started from the first pew. When little SeeJai started to sing his family immediately took notice. Soon, starry-eyed and filled with inexperience he was up in front of the church crowd on Sundays. Although rather youthful, "he possessed a sense of musical maturity well beyond his years." By singing his heart out audiences were left in awe. With love for all things musical running in the family, SeeJai looked to his dad for guidance and was encouraged to write music and sing throughout his childhood? Eventually, SeeJai and his family packed up and left Inkster. Continuing to write and sing in his spare time, music became more of a hobby for awhile, as he started to get noticed for his incomparable basketball I.Q. and his newfound height. At 6'6, SeeJai displayed an uncanny agility and intelligence on and off the court. He eventually ended up playing basketball for a neighboring university. Although he received numerous accolades from sports, the networking aspect of the collegiate environment proved delightfully favorable for SeeJai. In college, he began to turn back to his music-- writing, singing and playing the piano more than ever. He began to write and produce for various local artists, learning how to arrange vocals along the way. Once college was over, SeeJai put basketball aside for awhile and devoted himself full-time to his music. Those countless Sundays enabled him to give birth to a singing style casually defined as "Old School Soul." With songs such as "Popcorn Loving" "All or Nothing" and "Baby Come On," just to name a few, he emulates no one and stimulates everyone. See Jai delivers an alternative swing with a smooth, sexy swagger. Racking up unlimited performance time has injected his veins with a stage presence that would intrigue the blind. Exuding confidence within his vocal ability alongside an impressive library of music, SeeJai is destined for global impaction. He has begun his trek to the top.
