Singer, Songwriter and Producer Sean Rumsey had an unconventional start when he was adopted into a large family at the age of two. Self-taught on his new Mum’s second-hand piano as a young child, making music and performing was a constant and supporting feature of Sean’s early life.



College years allowed him to indulge his passion further; it was during this time that he also started performing on the local club circuit and began to enter (and win) talent contests. He decided to take his vocal talent to a national audience at the X Factor auditions in London, 2007. Fortune favours the brave and he eased through the rounds and beat over a quarter of a million applicants to the live finals as part of the band ‘Futurproof’, formed and mentored by music mogul Simon Cowell.



Finally realising his childhood dream of performing in front of a national audience, the X Factor experience on TV and the ensuing 2008 UK arena tour (which took in 27 dates and venues such as the O2 Arena), gave Sean the taste of great things to come…



Sean Rumsey is one of most hard working solo artistes in the UK, this year alone he has performed in front of 1000’s of people at arena's, festivals and music venues around the country as well as making time for charity and special causes events.



Sean has had one of the most successful years as a solo artiste performing alongside some of the UK biggest names in the industry and headlining many events, and this trend is set to continue for the coming years. Sean is now part of the Urban Soul Orchestra, run by the talented violinist and arranger Stephen Hussey; they have worked with the likes of Leona Lewis, Groove Armada, Jay-Z, Keane, Il Divo, Oasis, The Script, Grace Jones, Mika and Maxi Priest. http://www.urbansoulorchestra.co.uk/
