But even though this mougal in the making has grown accusomed to, custom fashions and the lime light Simon AKA S Dot Phoenix

hasent always been the cocky, fresh rapper that he is today.



Born Simone Tolson in the notorious south side of Chicago, Phoenix grew up the youngest of his mothers two boys. Growin up in a

single parent household, Phoenix spent most of his childhood surrounded by gang violence and tempted by the fast

money life style of the streets.



Wanting better for her children his mother moved their family to the seemingly quieter town of Joliet. But it wans't really no different,

Phoenix confesses. All the same thangs i seen in the CHI was goin on right here. same criminal aspects and the same hustles jus different ways of going

about it. So it wasnt long before before i got sucked into that lifestyle. i got away with so much stuff for so long by the time i did catch a case i was

sort of releived. he was speakin of his being charged and convicted of 2 counts of armed robbery and sentenced to six years in the Illinois State

correctional facility not knowing that this would groom him in to the man that he is today and aid him in writing the ongoing soundtrack to the epic movie that is his life.



While incarcerated he teamed up with other inmates who shared a love for music and formed the hard hitting super-group RAW FOOTAGE.

And upon release from prison these members reunited on the streets to continue what was started years before behind the bars of the penetentary.

but dont stereo-type them or this artist as the averege gangster rapper just yet.having furthered his education Phoenix not only has a background

in the criminal aspect but also a background in business management and the computer technology feild.



Thats why i dont rap about everything every body else do, Phoenix states. Im from the hood so i like the flashy fast life of the streets but

i also been out the hood so i kno about the internet and e-commerse and tax brackets and stuff like that. so yea i might mention how big my chain is in my

music but at the same i turn around and tell you about PAYPAL accounts and online business. i jus do me. i dont make music dependant on what the

next person might think, i do me to a point where you aint got no choice but to eccept and embrase it cuz its not what you sayin its how you say it



And that is evident in his confidence drivin lyrics that boast of custom fashions, jewelry, and PAYPAL profits. And with this rare motivation that Phoenix

possess its only a matter of time before he becomes a household name world-wide. having acheived record independant sales wit the 2006 realeas of LIVE FROM THE G BULIDING and the 2007

release of STREET DEMON VOL.2 up is the only direction possible for Simon Phoenix.
